If I could pick one song from the honorable mentions to put on the rankdown, I'd pick this one, because it's just so awesome. In fact, there's one certain song on the list that I have no idea why I included, so I wish I could replace that with this now. And "this" is...
HONORABLE MENTION #15:
"All my players in the house that can buy the bar And the balling ass n***as wit the candy cars If you a pimp and you know you don't love them hoes When you get on the flow (n***a throw them 'bows) All my women in the house if you chasing cash And you got some big titties wit a matching ass With you fly-ass boots or your open toes When you get on the flow (n***a throw them 'bows)"
LUDACRIS/PHARRELL - SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY
Released: 2000 Hot 100 peak: #23 Album: Back For the First Time- Ludacris
"Southern Hospitality" is the second single released off Ludacris's album Back for the First Time, released in 2000. It was composed by The Neptunes. The song debuted at #86 on the Billboard Hot 100 on January 20, 2001, reached the Top 40 at #38 on February 10, 2001, and peaked at #23 on March 24.

3 weeks left! Get those lists in while it's time! And as always here's today's honorable mention. Fun fact: I hated this song when I first heard it 3 or 4 years ago, but when I did the 2000s Decade Rankdown I grew into it, and now it's here. HONORABLE MENTION #16:"Anytime you want to pick up the telephone You know it ain't nothin' to drop a couple stacks on you Wanted you could get it my dear Five million dollar home, drop Bentley's, I swear Yeah, I want you body, I need your body Long as you got me you won't need nobody You want it I got it, go, get it, I buy it Tell 'em other broke n***as be quiet"T.I. - WHATEVER YOU LIKEReleased: 2008 Hot 100 peak: #1 Album: Paper Trail- T.I. "Whatever You Like" is a song by American rapper T.I., released as the lead single (second overall) from his sixth studio album, Paper Trail (2008). The song was written by T.I., James Scheffer and David Siegel and produced by Jim Jonsin. "Whatever You Like" served as the third single from Paper Trail in the United Kingdom with a release date of 1 June 2009. The song peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, giving T.I. his second US number one. It topped the chart for seven non-consecutive weeks, and remained in the top 3 of the charts for over 12 non-consecutive weeks. It was also number one in New Zealand and has been certified 3× Platinum by the RIAA. It was named the 16th most successful song from 2000 to 2009, on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade.

Depending on how many Honorable Mentions there are, we should end up having a Rankdown of the Honorable Mentions too.

Depending on how many Honorable Mentions there are, we should end up having a Rankdown of the Honorable Mentions too. There are 34, and I gotta admit that's a pretty sweet idea. I could do 16 more and make it part 2 of this, but I have some other rankdowns I plan to host first. But that is something to consider.

Fun fact: This actually wasn't the original HM for today I had planned to post. When I saw that I should be posting the original song today I began to doubt why I included it as an honorable mention, I changed it to something else, and now we're here. So yeah.
HONORABLE MENTION #21:
"Here's a little something about a n***a like me Never should've been let out the penitentiary Ice Cube would like to say That I'm a crazy motherfucker from around the way Since I was a youth, I smoked weed out Now I'm the motherfucker that you read about Taking a life or two, that's what the hell I do You don't like how I'm living? Well, fuck you"

what were you going to post? The one I didn't play is like a folded poker hand. When I don't play it, you never get to know. Anyways, as of today there's one week left to send! Y'all have had over a month and a half to send so I would not like to extend, but if anyone desperately needs it (or if something gets in my way) I might extend. And today's honorable mention. By the way, I will be posting more honorable mentions before each set of reveals, so if there's a song you didn't see in the pre-reveal HMs that you like you might see it then. HONORABLE MENTION #22:"No way, you'll never make it Come with the weak shit, I'll break it Step into my zone, mad rhymes will stifle ya Lines like rifles go blast when I kick some ass A lot of rappers be like one-time wonders Couldn't say a fly rhyme if there was one right under Their noses, I hate those motherfucking posers But I'm so real, to them it's scary"GANG STARR - MASS APPEALReleased: 1994 Hot 100 peak: #67 Album: Hard To Earn- Gang Starr "Mass Appeal" is a song by American hip hop group Gang Starr from the album Hard to Earn. Just got my 8th list so it's time for another B-B-B-BALLOT UPDATE! This one is starring jtd Thee Stallion , willapted33 , crazyb , and @chroniclea . - The top 2 have not changed since the last update, and they are 26 points apart. - The 50 has also not changed, so it's remained there for the entire submission process so far. It is 22 points behind the 49. - The highest SD had not changed until Chroniclea sent his. The new highest SD is at #29. The lowest SD is the 50, which everyone has in their bottom 20. - As of now, someone will be losing a top 3 in the bottom 10. However, this song is not in the top 5 highest SDs. - Everyone except for two people has their 1 in the top 10. And there's only 1 song with more than one top rank. - There are 6 songs with no bottom 20 ranks. They are the top 4, #7 and #11. - None of the songs in the bottom 10 made it to the top 20 on the Hot 100. - The biggest jumps in this set are 41-19, 36-26, 46-36 and 38-27. - The biggest drops in this set are 24-40, 26-35, 12-23 and 6-14. - The last thing I'll say is that there is a rankdown winner that was in the top 25 only once. What that could be...

Four days until the deadline! And another honorable mention: HONORABLE MENTION #23:"As the rhythm designed to bounce What counts is that the rhymes Designed to fill your mind Now that you've realized the pride's arrived We got to pump the stuff to make us tough From the heart It's a start, a work of art To revolutionize make a change nothing's strange"PUBLIC ENEMY - FIGHT THE POWERReleased: 1989 Hot 100 peak: N/A (but #1 on the Hot Rap Songs chart) Album: Fear of a Black Planet- Public Enemy "Fight the Power" is a song by American hip hop group Public Enemy, released as a single in June 1989 on Motown Records. It was conceived at the request of film director Spike Lee, who sought a musical theme for his 1989 film Do the Right Thing. So because my personal life will be a trainwreck for the next couple of weeks, I will have to extend the deadline to Friday, June 15, which is three weeks from today. Also, until the start of the rankdown I won't be posting anymore honorable mentions, due to me not knowing I'd have to extend. So yeah. And I got my 12th list the other day, so it's time for another ballot update! This one features new lists from aerodynamite, Lordeftones, Crap, and Boysilver. - The #1 has not changed since the last update, and it is now 85 points ahead of the #2. However, one of these four people knocked the #2 out of the top 5, and it is now sitting at #10. - The 50 has still remained there for the entire game, but the lead has always been close. It is 18 points ahead of the 49 right now. - The lowest SD is the 50, and the highest SD is the #21. This song has 5 top 10 ranks and 3 bottom 10 ranks. - Every song in the top 26 right now has at least 1 top 5 rank. The only one that doesn't is the #14, which impressively doesn't even have any top 10 ranks. It's also one of the lowest SDs because of no bottom 10 ranks. - Every song in the bottom 20 has a bottom 5 rank except for the #34. Also, every song in the bottom 10 has a bottom 2 rank, with 8 of those having a last-place rank. - Biggest jumps in this set: 31-23, 39-30, 21-11, 8-2, 13-5, 24-13, and 33-21. - Biggest drops in this set: 34-45, 2-10, 23-33, 14-26, 6-17, 9-20, 28-37, and 29-42.
