Coming up at #89 is the first of 4 covers to appear in this rankdown. 3 people liked it enough to rank it in their top 50. 5 posters weren't so fond of it though putting it in their bottom 10.

89. Mississippi Queen - Ozzy Osbourne I'm not saying it's better than the ; Mountain, classic, but damn, that cowbell is music to my ears. This is actually one of the best Rock song covers in the last 10 years. Ozzy Still sounds great. I might have actually under ranked it a bit?

At #88 is a band that first appeared in a rock rankdown during the Active 2006 rankdown. One person loses a top 20 here and 3 others lose a top 50 ranking. Keeping this song from performing better were its 3 bottom 10s.

At #87 is another song that we ranked recently in the Alt 2005 rankdown. 2 people liked this one enough to put it in their top 30. Despite finishing so close to the bottom 10, only 2 posters ranked it there.

87. When I'm Gone (Sadie) - No Address I think I put it a few slots higher here, because of the POM vibe, but the Nivana vibe doesn't help.

Tonight's reveals end with a bang as the 4th highest standard deviation is unveiled at #86. The song at hand is by an artist with multiple songs in this rankdown. Somebody loses a top 5 here. 2 others put this song in their top 20. Holding it back were 8 bottom 10s, one of which was a #100.

I guess, you could say, it's no surprise this went out early.
I prefer this version, for what it's worth:
(then there's "No Surprises" by Radiohead which is much better than either, but it has an extra "s" in the title)

100. I'm the One - Static-X A good start. This one was bad.
99. Killin' Me - Drowning Pool Awesome album cover did not live up to the music inside. The model's name is on the tip of my tongue, but I can't recall right now? Anyway, this is more what I thought true post-grunge would sound like.
98. Everyday - Future Leaders of the World "Let Me Out" was one of my top rock songs of 2004, but this wasn't even on my radar. Three for three not bad.
97. Beverly Hills - Weezer Thought of putting it lower, cuz It really didn't fit active, but man there are worst songs here that I couldn't ignore.
96. Razor's Edge - Saliva I actually liked the Southern groove of this. Great song, but just couldn't crack my top 50. Tough year.
95. Take Me - Papa Roach I still love this song. A loud, uplifting chorus, always works for me. This is miles better, than that "Born For Greatness" pop sounding travesty, they released this year.
94. Sick Love Song - Mötley Crüe The Crue still sounded fierce than ever. One of their last ;catchier, and faster songs ,that charted. Vince Neil still sounded decent. If he would have sounded like he did in "Looks That Kill", I would have put this one in my top 10.

Also color me surprised that "Photograph" survived the night.

EXTRAS:
The End - Roadrunner United Interesting combo of acts. Not a bad song at all. I would have preferred Chad on Vocals tho. Was Nickelback still on Roadrunner?
We Got the Whip - Audioslave Love that groove!
Stars - Switchfoot Great song for any era of music. I also loved "We Are One Tonight"
In My Head - Queens of the Stone Age First time listen. I would have to rank this one.
My first charting extra is from a band that was all over my charts 2005. Velvet Revolver. This was the last track I charted from 'Contraband'. A gorgeous Rock Ballad with Scott Weiland ;perfection..
Loving The Alien (DOC#81)
The Rasmus also had an album in 2005 titled "Hide from the Sun". The catchiest track I found on it was "No Fear". It was big in Europe, but flopped everywhere else. It peaked at #37 on my personal charts, so it didn't make my top 100 for 2005, but rolled into 2006 with a peak of #18.
"No Fear" (DOC#72) 2006
Finally comes Rick Springfield, who I always chart. From his 'Shock/Denial/Anger/Acceptance' album, came the ultra catchy Poprock sound of "Will I?"
"Will I?" (DOC#33)

Stand Up doesn't deserve bottom ten. Trapt gets a worse rep here than they deserve. That driving chorus is so good. This is honestly a better version of Headstrong (which I'm sure is gonna get tanked?)

Not a bad start, despite a couple of songs predictably escaping the bottom 15 that really should not have. I can't say I was expecting "If I Die Tomorrow" to be bottom ten at all, but I also didn't have the song very high, either.
