^This is another example of a song where I had a huge difference in my ranking between the Alternative and Active rankdowns. Many times I've been ranking more active leaning songs that I really like but are pretty burned out on rather low on the Alt rankdown. This helps me to free up more space to rank songs higher that I enjoy but only appear in the Alternative rankdown.

At #45 is the first reveal for a band that will be appearing more than once in this rankdown. Only one person ranked this song in their top 20 but they almost had it in their top 10. 6 other people gave it a top 40 mark. Its only bottom 20 was close to being a bottom 5 which clears this poster's bottom 10.

Another artist with multiple songs loses their first at #44. 6 people had this song in their top 30 with one of these being a top 20. Holding it back were its 3 bottom 20 rankings.

I kind of expected this to be the first of the two AB songs to go out...but certainly not this early. This is a bit of a surprise, honestly.

Finishing at #43 is a band which is appearing for the first time in a rock rankdown. One person will lose a top 10 in this reveal while another 2 lose a top 20. Its 3 bottom 20s kept the song from making the top 40.

Another band makes their rock rankdown debut at #42. The song at hand had the 15th lowest standard deviation. One person loses a top 10 while another 3 people lose a top 30. Noteworthy is the fact that this is the first song to be revealed to not have any bottom 20 rankings.

Bodes well for when "Do You Call My Name" shows up. Strong performance for this.

An artist that has been around for a long time gets cleared from this rankdown in our last reveal of the night at #41. This song had 10 top 40 rankings which is the most to this point. It only had one top 10 ranking but it also had another top 20 that was pretty close. Keeping it out of the top 40 was its lone bottom 10 which is the last one for somebody.

A 99 for "Vertigo"? Really? Definitely should have done this ranking now because it would have made my top 10.

55. Hello Lonely (Walk Away from This) - Theory of a DeadmanI thought this was a first listen, but checking my (pen on paper) 2005 chart archives; I realized I did indeed chart this. Funny how some of this songs that I thought clicked with me for the first time; clicked me at the same level years ago. As far as TOAD powerballads go. I'd say they stack up like this for me. Great band. 1. Not Meant To Be (great break-up song) 2. Angel. 3. All Or Nothing 4. Hello Lonely 5. Out Of My Head 54. I Don't Know - LostprophetsApart from the chorus; This didn't do all that for me. The one I charted was "Goodbye Tonight". Much better song. 53. Familiar Realm - CKYAnother one I thought was a first time listen? Nope. I charted this too. Not very high, but there is a certain catchiness in the song's melody. 52. Black Betty - SpiderbaitThree songs from my 70's slots making kind a late appearances. This was alright, but nothing I could put on repeat. 51. In Due Time - SubmersedNow this is a first time listen. I didn't chart this, and it doesn't sound that good to me either. 50. Bullet-Proof Skin - InstituteAh yes. The song that started the April Fool's Day threads with me in mind. All because my celluar was one day behind. LOL! 49. Suicide Messiah - Black Label SocietyI really dug the Heavy Metal vibe here. Got some Sabbath vibes and all that. You gotta watch the music video to get the full effect of the Metal vibe. 48. Getting Away with Murder - Papa RoachGreat song by the Poppy Roach band, formally known as Papa Roach. :kii: 47. Guarded - DisturbedFierce workout music usually, has no trouble ,cracking my top 50. I like this one, but it isn't one of my favorites from them. 46. Calling - TaprootAnother Rock song I charted. This song has one great chorus. 45. Next to You - The Offspring I didn't know this was a Police cover. Sounded more like an Offspring cover. LOL! 44. Find the Real - Alter BridgeSounds like the band was still trying to define their fierce sound. They have much better songs. 43. Count on Me - DefaultGreat song. I do get the TOAD and Nickelback powerballad vibe, but more along the lines of 3 Doors Down. Probably the reason I loved it too. I also kept charting this band, way after their time on the charts was done. 42. Fallen Angels - RaHere is a first time listen, I found some parts of the song's composition interesting. The chorus really ties the whole song together . 41. uno-dos-tres-Catorce - U2One of my favorite U2 songs ever. The intro is priceless. If he would have said the correct "cuatro"; the intro's vibe would not have fit the song. Got the cd for the song alone. This song should have been in everyone's top 10.

Extras and More time: What Drives the Weak - Shadows FallDamn that intro was fierce. I was already dancing, than the vocals started. What a Killjoy. If it wasn't for his delivery in the verses I would really dig this. Sugar, We're Goin' Down - Fall Out BoyCan't hate on this. I charted it it ,and I like it. We Don't Care Anymore - Story of the YearNot feeling this at all. This was one of my bottom 10 on that Alt rankdown we just finished. I still don't care for it. Those Around You - IntangibleThe vocals sounded pretty good, but they sound like a second hand grunge band. Inspiration on Demand - Shadows FallVocal works are a bit better, but looks like the guy spends more time on his hair than the actual song writing. :kii: A couple more from my 2005 archives. This band is super indie. Boys Night Out - "Medicating" was from their album 'Train Wreck'. I think I came across them through Kaaza Or Panda? All I know is that this song had a fierce Power Punk vibe that went straight into my weekly Top 50. Maybe one of you remember this one? Boys Night Out - Medicating (DOC#41)I know Lifehouse were more for HOT AC, but I thought their music rocked just fine. This one was off their 2005 Lifehouse album. This one really caught that "Hanging by a Moment" vibe , and one of my top songs of that year. Lifehouse - Undone (DOC #30)
As you can already tell; I really dug Default, so here is another one off their 2005 album. This one also rolled into my 2006 charts. Default - It Only Hurts (DOC #77) (#38 for 2006)
