I can also understand why some might hate "Dirty Girl", but I find it to be awesome! It has that classic Terri Clark feel to it. I can see why it was not as big of a hit as some of her earlier songs, but I will still jam to it every chance I get.

"This Ole Heart" is yet another perfect song, from yet another perfect album! As incredible and hit-worthy as it is, there are maybe even 2-3 songs that I would have liked to have seen released as a hit even more

35. Gypsy Boots Points: 551Writers: Terri Clark, Jon Randall, & Leslie Satcher Release Date: June 28, 2009 Album: The Long Way HomeLead single to her 7th album, "Gypsy Boots" was originally intended for the shelved ' My Next Life' and was re-recorded for ' The Long Way Home'.This single marked her first release since leaving a major label in the U.S.* and was only released in Canada where it peaked at #9. My first time seeing Terri was during the previous singles chart run but she was already performing this one in her shows! I instantly fell in love with the attitude of the song and will forever think this could've done some damage in the U.S. if Capitol Nashville had bothered to do more than just distribute the album. "Gypsy Boots" is a fine enough song, but pales in comparison to every other 'tough girl' song she has ever done. Plus the production of the The Long Way Home album is somehow way too bland and sterile for a song like this to reach its full potential. The original recording on the unreleased My Next Life album is SO much better, imo!

"Gypsy Boots" is a full on bop. It deserved better for sure. ETA: Also I'm a little sad I wasn't here earlier to guess the clue cause I totally knew it was coming as soon as I saw that image of Shakira.

"Any Woman" is such a hard-hitting ballad! I loved this melody from the moment I heard it. Back when I first got her second album, this was probably my favorite discovery on it. Since then it has dropped a little in my list of preferences, just because I have played it to death through the years on my own... But it is still a damn fine song, and I totally sympathize with those who had this in their top 10!

The single was also the most successful on radio peaking at #5 in Canada! Ugh, I love this one! This is one of the many missed single opportunities on her best album. Such a shame that stuff like this never saw the light of day at radio because I think this could've been a hit.

Yes the 'Life Goes On' album is easily my second favorite of her's and is soooo strong!
I'm kinda glad the original 'Honky Tonk Songs' album was pushed back as the 3 songs they added were really great! (Life Goes On, She Didn't Have Time, Not Enough Tequila)
I just wish they had kept "The World Needs A Drink" or even "You Gotta Love That".
The other song cut from the album I never heard. It was called "Last Good Time". I've always wondered if it was the same song Flynnville train charted with a few years later?
