Only songs I'm broken up over are You'll Always Be My Baby and I'll Wait for You. I love Kellie Pickler, but for whatever reason I Wonder's always left me cold.

Ugh, Sara, Kellie, Taylor, Tim/Faith, and now Martina. Rough set. Too many good songs going out too early. </3

#34. Luke Bryan - "We Rode In Trucks"
Total Points: 1,058 Average: 48.09 Year Released: October 22nd, 2007 Mediabase Peak: #34 Billboard Peak: #33 Rankings:kw9461 - 1 bigfan101 - 9 Kanenrá:ke - 17 castleoblivion26 - 23 someguy - 23 George Strait Junkie - 27 sabre14 - 30 gonecountry - 35 .indulgecountry - 36 rgreen0625 - 44 austin - 45 g8erboi - 53 zaclord 🌈 - 54 CoJoFan - 55 d3vin44 - 57 carriefan15 - 58 fearlessarrow - 67 tim - 71 LBTrocks - 72 bboat11 - 91 toomuchboy - 94 Cody Wants Out... - 96 "We Rode In Trucks" was the second career single for Luke Bryan off his I'll Stay Me album in October of 2007 and peaked at #33 on Billboard in early February of 2008.
Normally, I would have held off on this until 2008's rankdown but it spent enough time charting in 2007 where I put it in this rankdown. This is a prefect example of an artist driving what songs dominate the top of the chart. If Luke had released this five years after he did, it would have spent 2-3 weeks at #1, no doubt. But, he was largely unknown, other than his debut hit in 2007 and radio wasn't overly receptive to this for some reason. It only got added to 55 of the 120 monitored Mediabase stations at the time.

#33. Montgomery Gentry - "Lucky Man"
Total Points: 1,057 Average: 48.04 Year Released: January 29th, 2007 Mediabase Peak: #1 Billboard Peak: #1 Rankings:George Strait Junkie - 16 sabre14 - 19 CoJoFan - 24 Cody Wants Out... - 27 LBTrocks - 30 tim - 32 g8erboi - 33 kw9461 - 35 zaclord 🌈 - 35 carriefan15 - 38 d3vin44 - 40 .indulgecountry - 42 austin - 44 castleoblivion26 - 53 rgreen0625 - 58 gonecountry - 61 bigfan101 - 62 someguy - 67 toomuchboy - 67 bboat11 - 79 Kanenrá:ke - 94 fearlessarrow - 101 "Lucky Man" was the second single off Montgomery Gentry's Some People Change album in January of 2007 and peaked at #1 in June. It spent two weeks at #1 on Billboard and one week atop Mediabase ("Wrapped" occupied MB the second week it spent atop Billboard).
This is a common subject in Country music and the title is rather uncreative but the delivery is great. I love the lyrics -- they're both detailed but also simple and relatable. This was one of my dad's favorite songs from this year, and he didn't have the best 2007 with his father passing away and undergoing surgery. He says this song helped him get through those tough few months.

Please be one of Taylor's songs, since you're tagging austin specifically... Both "Tim McGraw" and "Our Song" have massively overstayed at this point.

“Tim McGraw” peaked at #6 so it should be safe for this reveal (unless you’re counting MB then I think it peaked at #5?)...

Wow two Taylor Swift songs in the top 30? Taylor is on fire with rankdowns lately. I’m also really glad to see “A Little More You” in the top 30 too.

Welp, sad to see my #1 ("Red High Heels") go... but it honestly lasted longer than I expected it to, especially seeing "I Wonder" leave when it did (I expected that to outlast RHH, tbh). I loooove "Red High Heels." It's one of my all-time favorite songs and never ceases to put me in a good mood. The melody is so strong and Kellie Pickler's vocal is fantastic. I can't listen to it without totally jamming out and it lifting my spirits in at least some fashion.
Bummed about The Wreckers and Sugarland songs leaving too. Both of those are also great, especially "My, Oh My." The old west theme of that music video, the hillbilly instrumentation, and the two-part harmonies for the entire song (and unusual approach) are just perfect.
