One problem I'm facing however, is videos won't embed on my PC...it's been something that's been plaguing me for the past couple weeks. They embed fine on mobile but I'm not doing these posts on mobile lol. Just have to deal with images and song links for the reveals.

1. What songs will finish in the top 5? Wasted, probably both Sara Evans songs because that's always how these rankdowns go, Stupid Boy, and I hope Stay but I feel like some people will tank it Lmao ain't no way "You'll Always Be My Baby" makes the top 5 Lol yeah, no it was one of her weaker outputs. Neither Sara song made the top five in my chart.

120. Bomshel - "Bomshel Stomp"

It was originally written as a fun joke for Kristy Osmunson's birthday but Curb decided to test it as a single and after its reaction, released it as a single in early 2007. It reached over 20 stations on the panel and peaked at #46 on Billboard in early April. Bomshel has said before they never thought it would ever see the light of day, let alone at radio.
Bomshel's other known songs are "It Was A Finger Lickin', Grits & Chicken, Country Music Love Song", "Ain't My Day To Care", "The Power Of One", "Fight Like A Girl" and "19 And Crazy." The later two were recorded with Kelley Shepard on lead vocals, after the departure of Buffy Lawson as lead singer.
I ranked this one fairly high, simply because of its instrumentation, production and melody. Yes, its lyrics are corny and stupid, but they're innocent enough and it's a jam lol. I get why it was last and I kind of expected it here.

Love Bomshel, but this is by far their weakest output.

I forgot how AWFUL "Bomshel Stomp" was until I re-listened to it for this rankdown. Not at all surprised that it's out first.

YES, the only right choice for #120! I wanted to like "Bomshel Stomp", because it is a female duo and the instrumentation was pretty delicious in a '90s poppy-yet-fiddle-filled way reminiscent of Shania, but as soon as the singing started it became a dumpster fire real quick... I can get past corny lyrics usually, but when the melody does nothing to redeem them, it's a much bigger issue.

"Bomshel Stomp" is so overhated omg. It's not a particularly good song compared to most of this list, but wow last place?

The instrumentation is a saving grace for this song but it only pushed the song up 3 spots for me... That’s how bad I thought the song was.

#119. Travis Tritt - "You Never Take Me Dancing"
Total Points: 2,180 Average: 99.09 Year Released: May 21st, 2007 Mediabase Peak: #29 "I've watched enough daytime TV to know my baby's needs"
"You Never Take Me Dancing" was the lead single off Travis Tritt's The Storm album in May of 2007, off Category 5 Records. The album was produced by Randy Jackson. The song was originally done by Richard Marx. It peaked inside the top 30 in September.
This song is okay, I do appreciate it standing out on radio, but it gets really grating and annoying, so I can see why it did so poorly in this rankdown.

Kenny Chesney is so overhated omg. But like he really isn't at all tho? I don't expect we see any of his songs for a while.

Love Travis Tritt, but this song just about put me into fight or flight mode. What was he thinking??!?!? First of all, I didn't even realize that he was still releasing radio singles in 2007. So that was a pleasant surprise. But second of all, if that's what you're gonna release as an aging B-lister, NO WONDER YOUR CAREER ENDED!

So that was a pleasant surprise. But second of all, if that's what you're gonna release as an aging B-lister, NO WONDER YOUR CAREER ENDED! Travis' radio career essentially ended in 2005 after "I See Me" off Columbia Nashville. This was off Category 5 Records, which is now defunct. The label also released "House Like That" by Donovan Chapman, which is also in this rankdown. I agree this song isn't very good but I doubt Travis could have salvaged his career off this label. It was basically a one-off, swan song single.

"You Never Take Me Dancing" is awful. Richard Marx sucks. Travis Tritt did a good job with the song, though. Just not something I enjoy.

I don't hate "I Got My Game On" the way that many people probably do, but it is definitely one of Trace's more forgettable offerings. No tears lost with this one!

"I Got My Game On" is a mediocre mess of a song. Glad radio agreed and it flopped tbh.

"Swing Batter Batter Swing Batter Batter Swing Batter Batter Swing" is MUCH better, so that says all you need to know about this one.

I like "I Got My Game On' but don't love it, and it's not one I've revisited much over the years.

"I Got My Game On" will probably be my absolute bottom song if/when a Trace rankdown happens. It's soo horrible.
"Bomshel Stomp" is fun but yeah I'm not sad it was out first, totally get this one lol
I never realized people didn't like "You Never Take Me Dancing" I loved that one when it was a single lol

"Men Buy The Drinks" is so fun and I really enjoy Steve Holy's music. Not surprised it's out early, and it's not good enough to make my top 20 lol but I do love it.

I've also defended Steve for a lot of his songs, but my lord this one is horrible.
There were so many better choices for singles from the album, I have to believe if he had picked something else he could've had another hit.
