Haven't been able to comment much here, but I'm relistening to "Good Stuff" now and I have absolutely no clue why I ranked it as low as I did here. Oops. "In Public" on the other hand I wasn't too big on, but bottom 10 might have been a little too harsh for it. Looking at my list, I have my #1, #3, #5, #16, and #26 left (my #3 being my highest first listen in this rankdown). And unlike the other two bottom 10s of mine that made it to the top 10, I can assure you that I definitely don't regret tanking my #26.  |

'Milkshake' was one of her big hits, it's too 'safe' a winner. Any of the other four would be preferable, although I don't actually mind the song and it's not the worst winner we could have.

Milkshake was her biggest hit and probably the reason the general public even knows her name, so it deserves to be number 1 IMO. And it’s not a bad song to boot. Plus it has all the elements of what makes Kelis, Kelis.
That said I would totally not be mad at a Bossy win. As a song I like it a bit better.

OK, realistically, I'm fine with "Caught Out There" beating "Milkshake" by a few points. So right now my hope is on "Trick Me" to sneak into Top 3 and get everyone surprised. This rankdown made me appreciate Tasty so much more.

"Young, Fresh n' New" was my favourite discovery, hence the reason why it was the song I put atop. Glad it made the Top 10, although I'm rolling my eyes at the people who tanked it.

#5 has a 27-point lead on Good Stuff with the 9th highest SD of the rankdown.
17 people ranked it top-10 and it managed to make top-5 without a single #1 ranking. Only one person put it in their bottom-5. |

"Bossy", featuring Too $hort and produced by Bangladesh, was the lead single released from Kelis Was Here. It became her second top-20 hit on the Hot 100 and hit top-10 in the UK and other international markets. "Bossy" was recorded as a "joke" because Kelis wanted out of her deal with Jive but was forced to make another album anyway; then the album dropped and the president of Jive told her he didn't care about promoting the album because the "Bossy" ringtone had sold almost 2m copies. 
This one bounced around a lot in the top-10. It was never really a #1 contender but it was never in any real danger of being outside the top-10 either; had peacebone not tanked it at the last minute, it would've been top-4. |
