Finally finished my list!
Took me more than 6 hours, but I felt I had to listen to all her songs again (twice) to do a fair ranking. I changed my #1 and some positions in my top 10 at the last minute. Interested in the results and the discussions around songs, as I wasn’t able to follow her career much in the 1980s.

Edit: Sent! I know most of her material well, so it took less than half an hour. Doing a preliminary list of the '86 rankdown hurt her material from that decade for me because it showed how badly that period of her work had aged.

I said I would cut it off at 20 submissions also. I still don't have 20, which is why I haven't just closed it and started.
For an artist as massive as Whitney, <20 is not nearly representative enough of Pulse.

Mmmmm jenglisbe and Philippe, I like both of you, so don't take these comments the wrong way... but I personally don't think that "2 months" is that horrible, disappointing, especially when there are so many rankdowns going on... I'll just share my personal experience, which may or may not be similar to others'... On average, a third of the month I don't have any time to log on Pulse at all because of work or home commitments (yeah, I can have long nights of work, travel abroad, etc.). If I commit to do a Rankdown, that often means spending an average of 6 hours to listen to all the songs in a RD, which can mean a week of this. Then, other time is also spent to actually follow, comment on an existing RD so as to have fun and contribute to the discussion. Like, a couple of weeks even though I was on vacation, I spent a lot of time commenting on the 1985 RD and the Madonna RD, while finalizing the Celine RD and the New Jack Swing RD. Like, no more time for anything else, so it's not a case of lack of commitment, last-minute-ness, etc. I've been "early" for a few RDs (more like I finished before an extension), and I can appreciate the desire of seeing the results soon after the submission, but then I also like it when there are more participants as this allows for more comments and interesting results. I also remember the Michael Jackson RD... which I don't think had even 15 participants, because several interested posters couldn't make the deadline, and was a bit sad. Anyway. It's great that there are several posters that are very active and enthusiastic!! I'm sure I would've been like that 15 years ago  but sometimes life happens and it's just tough to balance multiple aspects of interest, and some of them become more of a priority despite our sincere interests for participating more in Pulse. Juanca Juanca I understand you and do not worry, I do not take anything the wrong way. Good members are just that - you can not get them wrongly. It is just maybe that I am ALWAYS on time, punctual in everything I do, so ... Well, I do have. I will try to send some. I'm not religious, but that album make me feel things! I liked it when it came out, but it really clicked with me about 10 years ago. I love every single one of the songs you posted, and also love her take on Joy To The World.

I love every single one of the songs you posted, and also love her take on Joy To The World. Her version of JTTW is up there with some of my favorite Christmas songs ever! TPW soundtrack is certainly one of her best albums. |

The submissions are now closed. We ended up with 28(!) lists which is more than I could've hoped for.
While I compile the results (and wait for the workday to end so I can access my song descriptions at home), Christmas comes early!
Whitney and LA Reid followed up the platinum Just Whitney with a holiday effort! She teamed with Mervyn Warren with whom she previously worked on The Preacher's Wife OST. Though Whit's voice was no longer in top shape, there are definitely some highlights, including one of my favs, "Cantique du Noël." Bobbi Kristina is featured for the second time (after MLIYL) on "Little Drummer Boy." The album ended up being certified Gold even with all the negative press surrounding Whitney at the time.
