Circles is gonna have Ariana Grande to deal with. Last time she got 3 top 20 debuts so if that's all she gets this time it might cling on. The Christmas season will kill it for sure but Billboard is apparently letting songs back on in January now (see Only Human's 2020 year end list placement) so the story might not even end there!

The Christmas season will kill it for sure but Billboard is apparently letting songs back on in January now (see Only Human's 2020 year end list placement) so the story might not even end there! She had 3 top 20 debuts but she already had 2 songs in the top 10, so 5 total in the top 20. This is a weird album rollout so who really knows how many she will have now, but if I was betting, I'd say Circles will either leave this week or hang on by a VERY small thread. |

I find it interesting that we were iffy about the 25/52 rule at first. It seems like a good decision since songs getting more longevity than before, and it will be hard for new songs to chart.

I'm pretty sure this is the first time that two songs beating superrecurrency have been in the top ten. As far as two such songs being on the chart at all, just a few weeks ago we had two songs at 52 weeks on the chart at the same time in Circles and Don't Start Now, but it would have to be pretty rare, I would think.
