Extremely helpful. I've been meaning to find a list like this.
I hope others can find some you missed, if there are any.

Seems like the overall theme here, with a few exceptions, is songs that do well on adult contemporary stations. Am I wrong?
Amazing for Imagine Dragons, who have 3 songs on this list. Possibly a 4th song with Thunder.

A better picture might be, what would this list look like under current rules

When I get on my computer I'll add the 2 songs I was told on discord (stressed out and I forgot the other one). Once I add those then I think we'll be set

Updated. Idk what Thunder and FIS's positions are but I'll add them in asap. Also put songs affected by 52/25 in orange (if I made a mistake lemme know)

Everytime I see any stat for 'How Do I Live,' it amazes me how it never hit #1, but is in the Too 10 in a lot of Billboard Hot 100 accomplishments. It truly sucks Elton John blocked her 😩🙄😧

Thunder is almost there with 2 weeks left. Feel It Still has 9 weeks. For songs in the 30 week range, Havana has 35 weeks and New Rules has 37.

I think it's awesome that it didn't go #1. Being the biggest song ever to peak at #2 makes it so much more notable and talked about. Also, it kinda shows people the lesson being #1 isn't everything, and that longevity is ultimately more important than peak.

So, Ed has the two longest charting songs under the recent recurrent rules lol.
And Say You Won't Let Go's charting history boggles me. It did not feel that big/such a slow burner. It just felt notable for 2-3 months like any standard hit song.

Thunder won't make it past 52 weeks, but it seems like New Rules will take its spot on my list when the time comes.

Updated Wake Me Up but since it defied the 25/52 rule, I won't add the orange. When I get the info on Thunder, I may/may not add it to the list official.

Not sure it is subject to the 25/52 rule since it has reentered the top 50 on a new chart run. I think the 25/52 rule applies to singular chart runs only

As is everything?
Since this song was let back on, it will get another 20 weeks before going recurrent again if it stays above #50, however, I don't see getting past AT MOST one more week, more likely it is done this week
If it runs another 52 weeks, it will be booted off by the 25/2 recurrent rule

Hm, interesting. How long until a song is able to have such a second run?

We don't know why it was allowed to defy the rule. Most likely, Billboard just decided to look the other way on an arbitrary basis. We have no idea if they would allow it to stay for 20 more weeks. And we never will, since it obviously wouldn't make it that far no matter. The best we could do is estimate what position is SHOULD be at, and see if they allow it. (My guess is that it SHOULD be at like #75 or something next week, but they won't let it stick around anyway). The thing you said about singles is the same thing I would say about chart runs. The only way to objectively define a "chart run" is when a song re-enters. Everything else requires too much grey areas and subjective reasoning. I could definitely argue that "That's What I Like" and "Uptown Funk" have multiple chart runs. Yet they were treated like any other by the 25/52 rule.

But then again, Wake Me Up had its chart run before the 52/25 rule was even created. UF and TWIL are different cases tho

Basically, I think they made an exception for Wake Me Up! The Billboard chart editors have been known to arbitrarily their own chart rules. Let's see if they provide some sort explanation if there's an article about Avicii or in the Hot 100 Chart Moves article.

If it is #75 next week we won't know it since it will be below #50 Let's assume they knew what they were doing when they put this song back on the chart. Then that must mean that the 52/25 rule applies to a single chart run only and they granted this song another 20 week run above #50. Songs of this nature are gone in a maximum of two weeks anyway so we will never know if itt was an error or not. Otherwise this is an arbitrary error.

If it is #75 next week we won't know it since it will be below #50 Since it was allowed back on, they would keep it for 20 weeks IF AND ONLY IF it stays above #50 Why would they get rid of it in the 21st week, if it was in the Top 50? The 20 week recurrent rule isn't supposed to effect songs in the Top 50.

Avicii's 'Wake Me Up!' Returns to Top 40 of Billboard Hot 100
News
By Xander Zellner | May 01, 2018 10:30 AM EDT Avicii
Plus, parent album "True" re-enters the Billboard 200 at No. 22.
In the first full tracking week after Avicii's death April 20, the late EDM star's biggest Billboard chart hit, "Wake Me Up!," re-enters the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated May 5) at No. 34.
The song earned 16.4 million U.S. streams, surging by 718 percent, and sold 25,000 downloads, bounding by 1,965 percent, in the week ending April 26, according to Nielsen Music, helping the track re-enter the Streaming Songs chart at No. 34 and Digital Song Sales at No. 7.
The track also logged 8 million radio audience impressions in the week ending April 29.
"Wake" rose to No. 4 on the Hot 100 in October 2013, marking Avicii's only top 10, and second entry on the chart. He made his Hot 100 debut in December 2011 with "Levels," which peaked at No. 60 in February 2012. His other three Hot 100 entries: "You Make Me" (No. 85, 2013), "Hey Brother" (No. 16, 2014) and "The Days" (No. 78, 2014).
Meanwhile, Avicii's debut studio album True re-enters the Billboard 200 at No. 22 and the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart at No. 1 with 17,000 equivalent album units (up 1,244 percent) in the week ending April 29. The set, which houses "Wake," "Make" and "Brother," debuted and peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 in October 2013.
Concurrently, 12 Avicii titles infuse the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. "Wake" places the highest at No. 2.
