Can't see either MTB or NBTS making it, but MTB has proven me wrong in the past so... anything could happen. I honest to god would not be surprised if Meant to Be actually does it predictions Perfect might get a 53rd or even 54th week on the chart if it stays in limboland (15-25 range) God's Plan should easily reach 52 weeks

Updated early, thanks chartdata!
Perfect has 5 weeks left to make it on the list proper, and Meant to Be will enter the Bubbling Under next week.

Meant to Be hit it's 40th week and Perfect aka the song that will never die is on week 48. This song will almost certainly get a 53rd week. Now, the question is, will it surpass Shape of You?

Ed Sheeran Is First Solo Act With Three Year-Long Hot 100 Hits, As 'Perfect' Celebrates 52 Weeks on the Chart
News
By Trevor Anderson | August 29, 2018 1:55 PM EDT
As Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” retains its No. 20 rank on the Billboard Hot 100 dated Sept. 1, the ballad secures a 52nd week on the chart, becoming the 61st song -- of more than 27,000 Hot 100 hits -- to last one year on the list.
“Perfect,” the third single from Sheeran’s ÷ (Divide) album, reigned atop the Hot 100 for six weeks December 2017-January 2018, with help from a new duet version featuring Beyoncé.
As “Perfect” joins the class, here’s a look at the longest-running Hot 100 hits, dating to the chart’s creation on Aug. 4, 1958. Notably, all of the songs that spend a year or longer have occurred since 1995, shortly after the Hot 100 adopted Nielsen Music data to power the chart in 1991. Since the enactment, songs have averaged significantly longer chart runs.

Wow, 61 songs have spent a year on the Hot 100?!! This statistic doesn't really mean much then, it's become routine. It's more interesting with the new rule that after 52 weeks, the cutoff for recurrency becomes 25. Since then I believe Uptown Funk and Shape of You have spend more than a year on the Hot 100.

Looks like 62 actually, they forgot one
December 1963 had 2 separate 27 week runs in the 70s and the 90s, occurred BEFORE 1995 and actually held the record for a brief period

Yeah, because of the new 25/52 rule, a lot of songs will of course continue to make it to 52 weeks, but what will be more interesting is to see how many will beat it, which probably won't be many, unless chart longevity increases even more and more songs linger in the top 25 for a while.

Ed Sheeran - Perfect 55 weeks
Removed the "Bubbling Under" thing from OP, gonna instead post all songs and their positions over 26 weeks. I'm gonna try to track more songs by the # of weeks
