I'm not really tripping off of it, Pusha was pulling all the stops out his braids to make him look like a fool(its partially working).
Drake will be fine tho.

As Wendy Williams said Rhianna dodged a bullet. Pusha T get in that ass and make him sweat.
From cocky bill sent by Drake last week to pussy popping and having to explain himself this week. Looks like Drake is looking like the Toronto Raptors. Weak and defenseless against a superior player! Yasss gawd.

Him and his team are scrambling . Sending out PR articles to TMZ💀.
I call bulls**t on no DNA test. The average Joe, let alone a star of Drake’s magnitude with a brand to protect does not wait 7+ months.

Yeah like that rumor was like a year ago and they released a statement. If the kid is his(and he's been taking care of it on the low), then it is what it is. If not, then the world will move on. He has been coy about the album details though..

Since that picture is old, how come it did not surface until Pusha T somehow got his hands on it?

Since that picture is old, how come it did not surface until Pusha T somehow got his hands on it? It's been out on a Canadian website, where he did the photo shoot for a clothing company in 07. Of course this would be some fuel for Pusha to use cause everyone would question it.

Who cares if Drake is a father? As long as he does the right thing with the baby and babymama, there's no point in dragging him for it.
champagnepapi is literally a papi, so what? He'll be fine. His album will annihilate the charts and all will be forgotten soon.

He'll be fine. His album will annihilate the charts and all will be forgotten soon. I agree. Reminds me of when people said Remy Ma was ending careers 6 months ago. Now she’s faded away, and no careers were ended. Most of the people eating this up are hip-hop purists who don’t like Drake to begin with. ...and I say this as someone who wouldn’t care if Drake’s career was over tomorrow.

Most of the people eating this up are hip-hop purists who don’t like Drake to begin with. This. They days of hip-hop being able to consolidate around monolithic ideals are pretty much done. That was proven when people who don't have much knowledge of the genre from the 80s and 90s started getting big. While Drake is certainly not one of those, his success is a splitting point for a lot of people and most of those trying to spell the end of him for this were never going to be interested in his material anyway.

Question: What is you guys opinions on Ghostwriting/Reference tracks? Is it really that bad?
Reason I'm asking is I was in a debate on FB yesterday where people kept saying "dRakE iS soFt aNd foR pPl who wear uggs" and "he dont even write his raps". Well if that's the case, where was Quentin when Replacement Girl, Best I Ever Had, and Successful came out?

"dRakE iS soFt aNd foR pPl who wear uggs" and "he dont even write his raps". People have literally been saying this since he first started, and Drake has capitalized off the joke. Like he had no problem at all saying that he needs a section of his set devoted to bathtubs and scented candles when I saw him live. It's just different crowds that criticize it, and those that consume it.

The irony in this is that it's usually the older hip-hop fans who go off on this 'GHOSTWRITING BAD' thing, but even several (most?) of our old faves concurrently used ghostwriters and/or ghostwrote for others. Old heads don't wanna hear that though. I don't have a problem with reference tracks/outside writers at all. And Dr. Dre and Diddy's careers show that when it comes down to it, most people (of any age) don't really have a problem with it as long as it's catchy af. The problem is with hip-hop fans' all-or-nothing mentality when it comes to the so-called lyricists - that you must come up with every single word you utter on your own or else you're not a 'real' MC. This is what causes so many rappers to front and turn writers into ghostwriters, b/c they know won't be respected as much if they acknowledge using/feeding off someone else's creative input. (Which again is stupid when so much of hip-hop is reliant on samples.) Drake probably writes 75-80% of his shit, but people are gonna hold those two Quentin tracks over his head til the day he dies. They need to stop doing that b/c it just makes people write and repost articles like this in response, and then everyone's pride is hurt. I have my theories as to why hip-hop fans cling to such expectations of perfection from their rap gods, but that's another tale for another time. Whatever the reason, it's a toxic mentality that benefits no one. And when you think about the fact that Kim, Foxy, Nicki, Iggy, and several other women were accused of (and then not respected for) rapping someone else's words it just shows how hypocritical misogyny in hip-hop really is. The fact that ghostwriting was maybe 5% of ShEther but it's the one line that people kept reaching for to either prove or disprove the merits of the dis...

And when you think about the fact that Kim, Foxy, Nicki, Iggy, and several other women were accused of (and then not respected for) rapping someone else's words it just shows how hypocritical misogyny in hip-hop really is. This is true, so many of my friends from high school who loved hip-hop and were well-versed on its history just thought that Kim was a blow up doll that happened to get a mic on her mouth instead of a dick at some point, and they used the "Biggie wrote her s**t" argument to completely write her off. Somewhat of a tangent point, every genre and era has its own situations around songwriting, and likely always will because of the creative and financial implications of it.

Aside the 50 Cent/Ja Rule beef, there has never been a true beef where someone's career was truly hurt by diss records.
But that's not to say Drake takes a W in this rap battle because rap beef has never been about numbers. Pusha T put out a monster diss record, got people talking, etc. He's getting his cred. I doubt he's trying to reach #1 on the Hot 100 or expect Drake's legions of followers to stop supporting his radio-ready records. That has never been the premise of rap beefs. Not in the '80s, '90s,'00s or even now.

Regarding ghostwriting...I wouldn’t say I’m bothered by it. I’ll still bop to your music just as the same. I just don’t view you as an MC and cannot put you in the same category of the Jay’s and Kendrick’s. Which is what Drake has always strived for from day 1. That’s the argument the old heads/rap fans make and it’s understandable. Rap is competitive and about being better than your opponent. As an artist, we can talk about Drake. But he’s exed himself out of top 5 conversations. And as much as he likes to play it off, you know it bothers him. He has all the accolades and #1’s in the world, but rappers always want their respect within the realm of hiphop. And the whole ghost writing and reference tacks tainted that for Drake.
His career will go on and Scorpion is still opening up with 1 million+ sales. But Pusha’s diss has blew the lid off of Drake’s “good guy” image. If that baby is in fact his and Drake was planning to reveal him with his Adidas roll out...that is now all changed. He can no longer show boat his baby in a cute Adidas tracksuit whilst pushing the “good dad” narrative. People are going to see right through it. He and his camp have to think of a different angle.
This is like a soap opera in rap lol. 🍿

He can no longer show boat his baby in a cute Adidas tracksuit whilst pushing the “good dad” narrative. People are going to see right through it. He and his camp have to think of a different angle. This is like a soap opera in rap lol. 🍿 That's the thing though...Jay has, ahem, supposedly let other people write for him. Nas, Ghostface...the only thing differentiating Drake is that we have audio evidence of his. It would be one thing if he were getting knocked out of top 5 conversations based on skills. He's getting crossed out on a technicality and honestly if I were in his shoes that would irk me too that I'm getting dinged for basic shit that other people have done and lbr, will continue to do long after Drake is gone. Even with Duppy (before Story of Adidon) you had some people brushing it off like 'man, Drake's ghostwriters are on it today.' Like damn, what ghostwriter is getting paid well enough to get in formation on short notice like that. No matter how fast Drake runs it's just not fast enough. Po' little Tink-Tink. You know, Wayne has more respect than him. Wayne! I don't think Wayne is better than Drake. That's the level of respect Drake is trying to be on though and it doesn't seem like he'll ever get there. Unfortunately for Drake it's too obvious to everyone in the game that this is the one button of his that you can push. I lowkey feel a smidge bad for him b/c it's so obvious now that Push was baiting him, in an emotionally manipulative way that IMO isn't typically present in most beefs. If Push had gone straight for the blackface photo and hidden kid - this is what most people in a beef would have done - he probably wouldn't have gotten any direct response. This blow doubly hurts for Drake b/c it embarrasses him on a personal level and it basically set him up to fail at his attempt to be respected for bars (objectively, Duppy was a solid response record given what he thought he was responding to) and I have a feeling Drake is more wounded by the latter than the former. The former won't really be that hard to bounce back from...even the blackface**, since he made a point to address that first and separately; a lot of his fans will buy that. Whatever publicity plans he had for his Adidon line are pretty much blown (he was really about to go DJ Khaled on us with this baby wasn't he? smh) but he can still carry Adonis around everywhere and spin that around with time and several tabloid photos. But how does one climb out of the black hole that Pusha just pushed Drake's rank in the lyricist game into? I know he's gonna try, but...I'm trying not to react too much to this b/c Pusha had us ALL looking like boo-boo the fool for being gassed up on Duppy Freestyle for a whole day. So maybe Drake can surprise. Good luck and God speed is all I can say. **I do think Pusha missed an opportunity by using that pic but then not actually referencing it in his dis. This basically allowed Drake to address the pic 'off wax', whereas throwing in a line or two about it would have added an extra hurdle for Drake to overcome in whatever response he tries to come back with. I have a lot of feelings about this that I don't care to type out though, lol.

J Prince Says He Called Drake and Told Him Not to Respond to Pusha-T www.lovebscott.com/j-prince-says-called-drake-told-not-respond-pusha-tIt’s been almost a week and Drake has yet to respond to Pusha-T’s “The Story of Adidon” diss track — and it looks like his inner circle is advising him against it. via Complex: James “J.” Prince is the CEO of Rap-A-Lot Records and he has a long history with Drake. His son, Jas Prince, is even credited for discovering Drake on MySpace and introducing him to Lil Wayne and the rest of Cash Money Records. During an interview with DTLR Radio on Saturday, Prince said he thought Pusha-T’s diss was disrespectful and revealed that he’s encouraged Drake to avoid responding. “I spoke with Drake,” Prince said. “I made an OG call to Drake this morning, telling him, ‘I don’t want you to respond to this. We’re going to put this to bed.'” He added, “We’re going to put this to bed because we can’t get into the pigpen with pigs. Because pigs turn into hogs and hogs get slaughtered.” “That’s not [Drake’s] character,” Prince continued. “We didn’t work this hard to cheat ourselves over nothing. So that’s the way that is.” In another radio interview with WPGC 95.5 on Friday, Prince elaborated on his feelings about Pusha-T taking things too far. “I think this guy is being disrespectful,” he said. “My book is called The Art and Science of Respect, so it’s hard for me to not say he’s being disrespectful […] It’s one thing for me and you to be in a situation and it’s another thing for you to take it out on my momma or my dad. So I have a problem.” Kanye West has also called for an end to the feud, declaring it ‘dead.’ Listen to what J Prince had to say below:

Lol so in other words, he’s telling him to throw in the towel. He knows he can’t out bar Push.
It’s hilarious seeing everyone try and coddle Drake. I didn’t see this much capping for Meek Mill and Nicki during their rap beefs. Drake was with the shits and ready to turn Push into another Meek but suddenly he’s above it? Just admit he caught an L and move on.

It’ll be in Drake’s best interest to ignore Push from here on out. Adidon was just volume 1...Push is fully prepared to tango 😩.

www.rap-up.com/2018/06/04/drake-pusha-t-response-career-ending/We may never hear Drake’s response to Pusha-T, but one person who has heard it claims it would have ended Pusha-T’s career. While promoting his new book The Art & Science of Respect, Rap-A-Lot Records CEO James Prince revealed that Drake recorded an unreleased response to Pusha’s “The Story of Adidon” that would have been career-ending. The ingredients was overwhelming,” said Prince during an interview with “Sway’s Universe.” “I know for a fact that it would have been bad for Kanye and [Pusha]. It just wouldn’t have been good. It’s beyond music at that point. It’s gonna effect the livelihood, it’s gonna interfere with his whole lifestyle from that day forward.” Prince even spoke with Kanye and decided it would be best to not release it. “After even speaking with Kanye, ’cause I spoke with the brother, and he didn’t want this. I saw it going in a place that I feel would have ended his career if Drake would have put out the song that he had on him. And definitely would have hurt families. We not in it for that. That’s not Drake’s character. We not in business to tear our brother, fellow man down to that extent.” Prince feels Pusha crossed the line when he attacked Drake’s mother, father, and Noah “40” Shebib on “The Story of Adidon.” “I feel like it crossed the line where music was concerned,” he said. “The disrespect for his mother, the disrespect for his father, for 40, a man that’s dying. I know these people so I felt that that was totally disrespectful.” He continued to compare it to “pig mentality.” “Some slop finna be thrown. My thing is, you’re a pig, and then you’re a hog, and then ultimately you get slaughtered.” Host Sway Calloway mentioned that Drake called out Pusha’s fiancée Virginia Williams on his “Duppy Freestyle.” “He mentioned her, but it wasn’t in a vulgar manner,” said Prince. “Wrong is wrong. If it’s him and he spoke on a man’s fiancée in a vulgar manner, then I feel like, ‘You wrong homie.’ You can’t do that. But this dude, he went above and beyond the call of duty.” And while Drake’s response may exist, don’t expect it to leak. “I don’t think it will leak because [Drake] gave his word,” said Prince. “Me knowing Drake like I know him, he has a word. Until I see differently, I will believe differently.” Oh. I didn't know he wrote "Yikes" 🚪

If you're not really about that life stop puffing your chest as if you are Aubrey. Keep it cute, make some bangers and simp anthems, and stop acting untouchable because this proved that he's baby soft. J. Prince also needs to pipe down because Pusha T is over 40 with a 20-year career span under his belt. HE DOESN'T CARE The man went from selling coke with his brother to classic albums to being the President of G.O.O.D Music. J also keeps padding the story along as he goes so he's the one that's using this for publicity.
