I love this song and I just recently was able to get the album! Mark Collie is very underrated but has a couple great songs!

Yasssss, SO glad Garth made it this far!! "Ain't Goin' Down ('Til The Sun Comes Up)" is one of his biggest jams!!!! The fact that he manages to sing those entire verses without breathing always has me geeking out. And he does it live too, so haters can shove it... That takes some major breath support that most artists simply don't have.

I love this song, and it really should be higher. Disappointed to see it out here but not surprised either. Glad it made it this far

Next up is the first song to have multiple #1s!
It's also the SECOND-MOST polarizing song of this entire rankdown! :o

I'm so glad that "Even the Man in the Moon Is Crying" was included because it's really a great song and I had a feeling it would exceed expectations. Back when I was doing this rankdown I also gave the album a full listen and forgot how great Mark Collie's output was. "Something's Gonna Change Her Mind," "Trouble's Coming Like a Train," and even the single "Shame Shame Shame Shame" sounds better today than I remember it (I admittedly didn't like that song back when I was younger).

I'm getting pretty sick of EVERY Reba song except for "Is There Life Out There" and "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia" getting tanked out of year-end rankdowns prematurely...

And to think if I hadn't tanked the fuq out of Garth Brooks, his songs would've finished ahead of this immaculate Reba/Vince duet. So gross. Sometimes y'all confuse me. :X

Okay guys, let's take a deep breath...and calm down...with this more-agreed upon song here... 16. Radney Foster - Nobody WinsBillboard Hot Country Songs Peak: 2 Billboard Hot Country Songs of 1993: 29 Total Points: 578 Average Rank: 38.533333333 Standard Deviation: 20.44108841 ( 13th lowest!) kw9461 - 10 austin - 18 Jrod82 - 20 bboat11 - 25 Kanenrá:ke - 25 sabre14 - 25 castleoblivion26 - 33 George Strait Junkie - 35 tim - 36 rgreen0625 - 37 someguy - 41 .indulgecountry - 61 LBTrocks - 67 Cody Wants Out... - 68 Glove Slap - 77 Come together...right now...over this less polarizing top 3 hit from Radney Foster, who...didn't really last long as a performer back then. This was his one and only top 3 hit outside of his top ten hit from 1992 "Just Call Me Lonesome" and his final top 20 hit later in '93 "Easier Said Than Done". Despite only one top ten and two other top 20s, there were bunched of middling ranks, which aided in being one of the least polarizing songs for the year.

And with that here's the top 15!
Alan Jackson - Chattahoochee George Strait - Easy Come, Easy Go Patty Loveless - Blame It On Your Heart Wynonna - Tell Me Why Toby Keith - Should've Been a Cowboy Reba McEntire and Linda Davis - Does He Love You Suzy Bogguss - Drive South George Strait - Heartland Vince Gill - Don't Let Our Love Start Slippin' Away Trisha Yearwood - Walkaway Joe Mary Chapin Carpenter - Passionate Kisses John Michael Montgomery - Life's a Dance Alabama - I'm In a Hurry (and Don't Know Why) Martina McBride - My Baby Loves Me George Strait - I Cross My Heart
What will miss the top 10?

I really can't see "Chattahoochee" making the top 10, with how polarizing it is likely to be... Vince will probably leave as well, and at least 1 George song ("I Cross My Heart" most likely, but possibly "Easy Come, Easy Go" as well). And then Suzy Bogguss, because when has she ever done this well in a rankdown???

“The Heart Won’t Lie” is a special kind of sappy and cheesy. The production and instrumentation is boring as well.
Speaking of cheesy, the music video...Reba’s has some great songs;
”Fancy” ”The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia” ”Whoever’s In New England” ”The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter” ”I'd Rather Ride Around With You” ”What Do You Say” ”Consider Me Gone”
but to me, “The Heart Won’t Lie” isn’t one of them.

Alan Jackson - ChattahoocheeWhat will miss the top 10? Seeing "Chattahoochee" still in makes me want to do just that...but I'm going to guess it makes it into the top 10 because why not. I'll say that "Don't Let Our Love Start Slippin'," "Easy Come, Easy Go," "Should've Been a Cowboy," "Tell Me Why," and maybe "Drive South" miss the top 10. "I Cross My Heart" is the wild card but I still think it makes the top 10. “The Heart Won’t Lie” is a special kind of sappy and cheesy. The production and instrumentation is boring as well. Reba’s has some great songs; but to me, “The Heart Won’t Lie” isn’t one of them.

"Even The Man In The Moon Is Cryin'" is one song that I underranked, for sure. LOVED this as a kid! I listened to it so much! I should have made room for it in my top 10.
"Ain't Goin Down Til The Sun Comes Up" is SO bad. It's not catchy. It's not fun. The instrumentation is atrocious, and Garth's vocals are a special kind of annoying on it. Made it WAY too far.

I completely agree. That song is such a sap fest. I'm actually surprised it lasted this long, I thought the inclusion of Vince might drag it down a little. I mostly prefer later 90's Reba to early 90's Reba. On a side note, thrilled that Mark Collie made it this far. I love that song and was bummed it missed the 92 rankdown, but thrilled when it was included here. Glad so many others enjoyed it. Also happy to see Radney Foster get some love as a solo artist. He's one of my all time favorite songwriters.
