This song impacted me in late 2016 and also brings back vivid memories of autumn in Wilmington. I always get reminded of someone I think of fondly with this song and I can never not sing a long to it. So another painful loss for me. 16.The Shaking of Leaves Into It. Over It. 164 pts

This was another early 2017 song. Very chill and melancholy, this song certainly had me "in my feels" as the kids would call it around the time the azaleas start blooming. My town favors azaleas quite a bit and hosts a festival every year to worship the azaleas. That's what this song means to me. This was an interesting mid-2016 listen that always put me in an introspective mood. Title Fight is a really good band. Short but sweetly atmospheric, this was always late night treat or an entrancing lull to sleep. Ouch Red, your highest loss yet. 14.

Red's top 12 finally took a hit but will his top ten survive the top 13? #13 finds our 13th Highest SD, pretty midrange but four top tens fall, one of them being a top five. Only one person put this bottim five but it's low.

I initially discovered this song through a vaporwave video on YouTube, but didn't really discover it as a song until early 2017 when it ushered in my dive into the world of vaporwave, chillwave, future funk, and eventually lo-fi hip hop beats to study/relax to. It's a great song but doesn't grip me as strongly as the other songs do. This is miles above Daylight. Gates suffers his third top ten loss in a row, and this one hurts the most. 13.

Red's monster run continues as his top ten is unscathed and only his 12 and 15 remain outside of it. Can he keep this up? We find our 3rd Lowest up next with three top ten losses and one lonely bottom ten ranking.

This was a song I actually first heard long ago in the Pandora days before Spotify brought it back to me. This is another personal song that I can connect to someone in particular and the raw emotional vocals at this song's core really grip me. But alas, the run is over. 12.

So what song misses top ten? #11 has nearly 20 points more than Bloodstream and is our 15th lowest SD. That didn't stop four people from putting this top ten though with two high top five losses to close out the night.

Mid-2016 was the first time I lived completely alone for six months. The isolation was refreshing and I especially could play music as loud as I want, with this being one of the songs. Yes, I had a tendency to get stoned too. Red took his first top ten hit last song. Now let's get rid of his 2. 11.

So what snuck into the top ten by only one point? Our 5th Lowest SD! This song had a long journey to the top ten and it brings with it three top tens and two bottom tens.

Really glad to see this make it far, I discovered these guys in mid-2016 when I was all aboard the Stranger Things hype train. Who knew that Joe Keery that actor that played my favorite character on the show (Steve Harrington) was in a psychedelic rock band? These guys are really good too. Ah, an early 2016 song for me. Chromatics are very cool, love their atmospheric synthpop vibe, really good music for driving around the city at 2 AM searching for a purpose. Schoolboy Q even sampled this song for his 'Man of the Year' song. At least this did better than in Gates' RD though. 9.
