this was a great rankdown, janinho! went very smoothly for your first one. made some great discoveries here and had a great time following along!

That's nearly a two full ranking gap between #1 and #2. That's nuts. At the same time, though, it's 100% deserved. "He Is" is so great.

This was a really well-done rankdown, janinho. I look forward to another one, if you find the time to do it.

10. Fast Fuse (#9) - cool song, really liked the instrumentation.
9. Books From Boxes (#14) - very nice guitar work here, makes this song great.
8. Run Rabbit Run (#23) - woah, didn't expect this to go far. It kind of blended with the other metal ish songs on the list for me, but listening to it now, it should've been in my top 20.
7. Devil in a Midnight Mass (#13) - vocals were a bit harsh but damn that hook is fire.
6. Lanterns (#4) - not one of their greatest tracks, but still a very solid song, glad it made the top 10.
5. The Bronze (#10) - damn, thought this was a lock for top 3. another really good song by them, didn't right it higher since I wanted to support less loved bands.
4. Munich (#8) - this one was very enjoyable, happy it made the top 5.
3. Entre dos tierras (#5) - awesome song and discovery, loved the vocals and the 'mood' of this was cool.
2. Join Me (In Death) (#21) - so um, why did this make the top 2? I mean, it was decent enough but I was disappointed it made the top 10, so top 2 is way too much for it.
1. He Is (#1) - great. this song is amazing and I'm so glad I re-discovered it about 2 months ago. glad it made your list.

10. Kasabian - Fast Fuse
I do not get the hard-on you guys get for this band. This song was alright. They have a garage rock vibe, but not as good as other bands.

9. Maximo Park - Books From Boxes
I've charted a few songs from this band. "A Cloud of Mystery" and this one. My favorite.

8.Black Map - Run Rabbit Run
The best part of this song is when he screams "Run Rabbit Run" reminds me of Bill Mosley in House Of 1000 Corpses.

7. Billy Talent - Devil in a Midnight Mass
I like this for the Metal vibe. The screaming is rad. Good song.

6. Rise Against - Lanterns
I like this band, but this song isn't that good.

5. Queens of the Stone Age - The Bronze
Same comment as above.

4. Editors - Munich
Yes. This was an amazing song. has all the (fast) ingredients I love about Alt. Sounds a bit like Interpol. Lyrics video makes it easy to sing along to.

3. Heroes del Silencio - Entre dos tierras
One of the best Spanish Rock songs ever. It only gets beat by Soda Stereo's "De Musica Ligera". I hope you guys show it this much love in the foreign Tournaments. I just hope I don't find myself v.s. Red 's entry?

2. HIM - Join Me (in Death)
This band is awesome. So underrated on Alt radio, and I don't know why the f**k that is?

It says something when a Catholic loves this song. It should have been a radio single, because Metal bands will always create the best ballads.


This was one of my favorite games yet. I mean very few songs really sucked. The bulk of them was hot.
