"What I Like", an unreleased song from the album and produced by Danja, is out there.
You should feel good, he treats me right Thought that you'd have an open mind This love is more than just a night, a night And you can't tell me nothing
The fact that this didn't make the cut while "We're Good" and/or "Not My Problem" did in the Moonlight edition of the album bothers me.

Props to her for reinforcing her support for the gays.
But she’s lying if she’s gonna act like she didn’t see this coming from him. He perpetuates all types of problematic behavior.

He was nothing more than a good tack-on for a hit. “We take the cash, we cash the cheque, we show them what they wanna see.” Let’s see her remove it from streaming platforms and then we’ll talk.

Dua is only two albums into her career, she does not have that kind of unilateral control. If anything I'm surprised she said something at all because she really could have said nothing and kept posting unbothered vacay pics. The song isn't being actively promoted anymore. DaBaby has had 18394343890 collaborators but we need to hear from the pop girl! We need so see HER pull HER hit song! Sorry, the way this is panning out just irks me.

It makes sense why folks were focusing on Dua to react given her song with DaBaby is currently in the top 5 on the charts (and set to be the top song of 2021). We also need to remember pop music fans are those who care most about accountability and calling out problematic behaviour, and we know the majority only cares about female artists. Let's not weaponize sexism here when this attitude is coming from the pop community itself, who are eager to incite drama and stan fights. (this isn't directed at anyone here - just observations from around Twitter and other forum communities). This comment on popheads sums it up pretty well. Now, Dua only gains by openly condemning his behaviour, and to have a high profile artist like her commenting on the situation only makes the news more widespread and is more likely to affect DaBaby's career. However, I don't think it's necessary for her to delete the "Levitating" remix. Encourage radio stations and streaming playlists to feature the solo version instead? Absolutely. But otherwise, it's affecting her more than him, which is not the goal here. Finally, I second the sentiment that it would be amazing if past collaborators from the hip hop industry call him out (Roddy Ricch, Post Malone, Lil Baby, Young Thug, Jack Harlow, etc..), but given most are super inactive on social media in the first place, I'm not holding out much hope. Just leaving my take on it. 🙂

You know how Spotify lets you block certain artists from having their music come up in playlists? They should let you do that for individual tracks. Much better and cleaner than having labels and CEOs play the morality police.

Just leaving my take on it. 🙂 Fans in the pop community are (in brief fairness to them, probably unknowingly) weaponizing sexism themselves when they do this though...Industry Baby is set to debut in the top 5, LNX all but lives on social media when he's not on a stage or a video set, and I know these same pop fans who like to incite fan wars are fully aware of/many listen to LNX, but no one is keeping the same energy and asking him (or Jack Harlow) for their opinions despite both having worked with DaBaby Before and arguably being as prominent as Dua is right now. I'm going to cut myself off here because it's not really a tangent anyone asked for, but the pop community has its own layers of sexism that it could stand to acknowledge and the hyper-focus on the female stars that many of them like to engage in is one visible symptom of that. While I do think many artists/teams conveniently look over signs of problematic behavior for the sake of a hit, I hate when people say things like this (about any artist) as if there isn't an entire label of CEOs who make the final decision to scrap or pull something. Much better and cleaner than having labels and CEOs play the morality police. They need to move that block feature to desktop, too. A lovely feature but one that is unfortunately useless to me when I'm at home. Definitely agreed on it being better than expecting someone else to play morality police. The 'top down' approach doesn't actually solve anything.

Is the dislike/thumbs down an imperfect stand-in for that? Kinda? I think the small catch-22 is that the algorithm stops suggesting whatever song you thumbs down but also suggests less of that artist's songs overall. If you only thumbs down one song by that artist and listen to their other music regularly this is probably not an issue though.
