I haven't loved an album so much since 1989 probably.
"Levitating" omg. It alone renewed my stan card for another ten years.

UK MIDWEEKS (Monday):
Official Singles/Albums Chart Update Top 100 Source: OCC Missing Data: Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube (all for Sunday) and HMV (all week)
Top 100 Singles
1 The Weeknd - Blinding Lights (23.9k) 2 SAINt JHN - Roses (20.3k) 3 Dua Lipa - Physical (15.8k) 4 Dua Lipa - Don't Start Now (14.6k) 5 Joel Corry - Lonely (12.7k)
6 Little Mix - Break Up Song * 7 Dua Lipa - Break My Heart * 10 Mabel - Boyfriend
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Top 100 Albums
1 5 Seconds of Summer - CALM (19.2k) * 2 Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia (12.2k) *
22 Dua Lipa - Dua Lipa
---
Dua should score the #1 album this week, as she sold another 3K from yesterday, and 5SOS only did under 700. Not to mention HMV has yet to report (which Dua is completely sold out at with all her signed copies / numerous editions) and Sunday streaming numbers are missing (5SOS is only at #176 on Spotify and out of the Top 100 on AM).
Physical should end up at #3 this week (outpeaking Electricity and tying IDGAF!!), another week in the top 10 for DSN (!!), and I am praying BMH reaches #5. Currently:
Spotify: #5 - BMH - 250,071 (-37,510) #13 - Lonely - 185,692 (-32,288) #27 - Break Up Song - 131,062 (-26,700)
Apple Music: #6 - Lonely #9 - BMH #17 - Break Up Song
YouTube (3/28): #14 - BMH - 286,944 (-23,035) #15 - Lonely - 270,721 (-9,543) #17 - Break Up Song - 264,965 (NE)
iTunes: #2 - Break Up Song #7 - Lonely #14 - BMH

Good In Bed sounds like a song the gays would latch on to but I think I'd prefer if the chorus was more melodic rather than how she does it now. I get that it has more sass this way and I'm sure I'll warm up to it but the first listen I was expecting a big chorus and then didn't get it.
The album is a fiery smash tho! I also really love the sample in Love Again.

I don't think she really had much of a choice She could've postponed it earlier, maybe the leak wouldn't have happened. If 'if's and 'but's were candy and nuts and 'could haves' and 'maybes' were sweet little babies... It's a big if, but if the album was leaked by someone on the inside, they likely had access to the final album either way. Either way, I'd say things are working in her favour all things considered.

I had a feeling when it was first said most of her cd would be uptempo and have a similar vibe to "Don't Stop Now" that this was going to be good. This doesn't disappoint. I bought the whole release which I hardly do anymore. There aren't any songs that are awful but one or two I could do without. I have many favorites on here. Here's a quick ranking so far.
"Don't Stop Now"- Still not sick of it. "Break Your Heart" "Pretty Please"- Has a nice vibe to it. "Levitating"- The chorus is so catchy. "Future Nostalgia" "Cool"- I guess this is a midtempo on the faster side? "Love Again"- I like the sample through out it
"Hallucinate" "Physical"
"Good In Bed" "Boys Will Be Boys"- I could do without this one. It doesn't really go anywhere. I guess the last two songs close out the cd nicely and bring down the mood but there my least favorites on this great release. For most of the songs on this cd the chorus's are catchy and not just repeating the same word or words over again and letting the production do all the work. Yet all the production is good too. Great release!

Two lyrics on the album that bug me to an extend where I couldn't not write about them: "Boys Will Be Boys"I'm sure if there's something that I can't find the words to say I know that there will be a man around to save the dayThoughts: Avoid redundancies "Cool"You know, you know you gotGot me losin' all my cool Thoughts: I don't know why this repetition bugs me when I've used it in songs too. I would've gone for a much simpler "You know, you know that you / Got me losin' all my cool".
Maybe I'm just trying to find flaws in this beast of an album.

"Cool"You know, you know you gotGot me losin' all my cool Thoughts: I don't know why this repetition bugs me when I've used it in songs too. I would've gone for a much simpler "You know, you know that you / Got me losin' all my cool". It's funny because for me, "you know that you" would bug me more because I've grown to hate unnecessary uses of the word 'that'.

Her first album did 15k, so it's a major upgrade. The rise of the next single should keep it consistent!
