70s Pop Extravaganza: A Rankdown (Complete)

Alright soooo. We are at "the deadline". I have 14 lists and I'm aware of 2 more people who are working on lists. I'm not revealing tonight, obviously. If I have the ballots of everyone who wanted in by tomorrow afternoon, I could start then. this is where i'm not sure, gonna guess Les Fleurs, Mediterraneo, Superstar, Help Me, Hello It's Me, Don't Leave Me This Way, Ride Like the Wind, Rock Your Baby, You Can Get It If You Really Want It, Septembur Girls
3. What songs might be in the running for lowest SD?
thinking something like Use Me, What's Going On, or Let's Stay Together
4. What songs might be in the running for highest SD?
Das Model and Cars, for sure

i think my #1 will make top 20, and my #50 will maybe go out in the bottom 15

Tough to say, given how tough this rankdown is overall. What's Going On is the only song that I'm fairly certain will make the top ten. Any other potential contender, I feel like, will have at least one tanker.

2. What songs do you expect to see in the bottom 10?
Les fleurs seems like a safe bet, as does Mediterráneo. You Can Get It If You Really Want It, maybe. Christopher Cross tends to be a bottom ten magnet in any rankdown he's in.

3. What songs might be in the running for lowest SD?
What's Going On. Maybe also something like Ride Like the Wind, on the lower end of the rankdown.

4. What songs might be in the running for highest SD?
Das Model, 100%. Wuthering Heights is going to get quite a few high ranks, but I bet it has quite a few low ranks, too.

5. How far do you think your #1 and #50 will go?
I'm hopeful for top 10 for my #1, but, given the toughness of this rankdown, I'd settle for top 20 or so. #50...I don't really know, lol. It could be bottom ten, but I'm not CERTAIN about that.

1. What songs do you expect to see in the top 10?
The one I can put my money on is "Heart Of Glass". "Rock Lobster" is another classic.

2. What songs do you expect to see in the bottom 10?
Hopefully the same ones I put there too. They are not terrible songs, but pretty forgettable.

3. What songs might be in the running for lowest SD?
Something LIke "Good Times" or "Hot Stuff". Everyone loves Disco? Right?

4. What songs might be in the running for highest SD?
At the very least, one of the songs I put in my top 10?.

5. How far do you think your #1 and #50 will go?
I'm pretty sure no one will have the same #1 as me? I usually lose my #1's before the top 20? My #50 has fans. Might even make the top 20, but I hope it's out early enough?

#50 was not a surprising last place, though it took half the rankdown to fall here. I wish the lowest SD was something more positive, but you take what you get. #50 has two top half rankings, but if these two people had to lose top 25s at 50, they might as well have been very low ones. Otherwise, there are ten bottom 10s, five being bottom 5s. This song was almost able to say it avoided receiving an actual 50 rank, but someone took care of that late.

So, I didn't say this in thread before, but this ranking was super tough. One of the toughest that didn't involve me ranking my own rankdowns. I'd have many of my bottom ten songs much higher in lesser rankdowns. This rankdown was a shark tank. This song is a prime example.

Also, I'm so happy to have the screencaps back in my life.

#49 almost spent as much time at 50 as our real 50, but unlike Dekker's bunch, it never left the bottom 3. 4th lowest SD this time. The two top half ranks are bumped up to top 20s. Half of us put this song in our bottom 10, and three are bottom 5s, with one perfect ranking.

We sure are disposing of low SDs quick; #48 is the 8th lowest SD. Cherish this calm area while it lasts, because things will get nutty quickly. This song only spent two lists out of the bottom 10, and two more out of the bottom 5. Three top half ranks this time, and only five bottom 10s, though two of them are a bottom 5 and a 50.

#47 sees our first top 10---no, top 5---no, 2 loss. Only one top 20 backed it up, though, and this song took five bottom 10 hits, three being bottom 2s. This song made its home in the bottom 5 early, but as time went on, it looked like it might spring out of the bottom 10.

Okay, my own ranking aside...THIS was bottom five?!

#46's support is quite a bit more significant than the preceding songs. Four top half ranks in total; another top 10 is lost as well as two top 15s. Seven people, on the other hand, see bottom 10s go, with two being 50s. This song took 4 movements to get to the bottom 10, and just a few moments later, took a leap and almost scraped top 30 before being smacked down again.
