^Coincidentally, he's releasing it tonight. So we'll find out soon enough ... Just one track, right? Is it even on Spotify or anything? "Lift Yourself" doesn't appear to be on Spotify. So I'm afraid we may be in the midst of another trash rollout.

Any predictions for NBA Youngboy's "Until Death Call My Name"? It was released yesterday. I'm hoping for/predicting a little bit of a boost for each of the songs already on the charts. Hopefully they don't get completely drowned out by all the new Post Malone tracks. I notice he's been doing really well on YouTube. Interestingly, "Genie" and "Through The Storm" hit like #10 and #11 on the YouTube weekly charts, a few weeks ago, but neither one of them had enough points anywhere else to chart.

If NFW catches up to psycho by the end of the tracking week, do you that'll be enough to hold on to that #1 spot? Please say yes

No, he is screwed either way. People are outright not going to even attempt to listen to it. There was quite the controversy with Yeezus, and that album was his lowest selling up to that point without any of the singles seeing chart success. The Life of deleted fell off almost in an instant. His super supporters are going to support him, but casual supporters and general audiences have already been weary of his recent musical output. They are simply not even going to give not listening to it another thought now. The best case is that the Kanye West super fans support it when it first releases and give it a decent debut, but the fall off is going to be huge outside of that first week granted that the first week even has nice enough numbers. TLOP's fall off wasn't that dramatic. Not as dramatic as Jay-Z's "4:44" or Beyonce's "Lemonade" or J. Cole's "4 Your Eyez Only" or even Drake's "More Life". Kanye West got only 17.4% of his Hot 100 points from TLOP's first week. Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1 spent a whole 23 weeks on the chart. Famous did 14. Fade did 13. That's not superstar numbers, but it's not immediate fall-off numbers either. It indicates that a general following for him still exists. Not just "superfans". And it's not like these songs are exactly pop-friendly or super accessible either. Remember that Kanye is one of the most respected living people in Hip-Hop. And his artistic acclaim expands beyond just Hip-Hop fans and into the artsy and hipstery white college crowd. With the industry the way it is today, and assuming that he isn't burdening himself with an exclusive TIDAL release, I think that Kanye out-debuting "The Life Of deleted" is pretty much a sure thing. And as long as he doesn't pull another Yeezus where the music he makes is so bizarre that everybody immediately rejects it, I think getting past the relatively low bar set by TLOP could be a real possibility. As for the politics, Kanye's listeners have been dismissing his ridiculous real life antics for almost 9 years now. I don't think it will have a significant negative effect. The Life of deleted is exactly 2 years old and still on the Billboard 200 at #112.

Are we ignoring the possibilities that either a) a lot of Kanye supporters also support Trump or b) Kanye might actually gain new fans who are Trump supporters? All of these assumptions about whether or not Kanye will remain successful seem to just base themselves on the idea that everyone hates Trump. Also, how is Kanye supporting Trump news anyway? It's been blowing up of lately, I thought we'd known that forever, I know I did.

I don't think we have to worry about "Lift Yourself" being a hit. It might chart for a week or two off of curiosity listens but "scoopity-poop poopity-woop" isn't going to be a summer jam. Was that a joke?

Also, what's this about Yeezus being so bizarre that everybody rejected it right away? I thought it was beloved from day 1? deleted was too, which I find odd because I thought deleted was trash but Yeesuz was fascinating. Yeezus is his most front loaded and least successful album on the charts. By a huge margin. Nearly 50% of the Hot 100 points come from song debuts. TLOP, his second least successful album, is about 4.6 times more prominent on the Hot 100. And while it's critically acclaimed, like everything that Kanye touches, it's his least liked by fans according to the user rating on Metacritic and also according to every "rankdown" type fan discussion I've ever seen of his discography. I think that's a direct result of Yeezus being so bizarre and inaccessible on a musical level. It also doesn't help that it was released in a time where the only important streaming platform was YouTube. From the looks of things, it seems like he's combining the inaccessibility of Yeezus with the terrible rollout of TLOP, for this "Lift Yourself" track. I sure hope this is just a one-off track like "Piss On Your Grave". I hope this isn't one of the seven songs from his upcoming album. And I also hope that his upcoming album has more than seven songs.
