#32. Tonight She Comes - The Cars Yup. This was easily gonna be my #1 song. I was kinda afraid you guys might under rank it for the lyrics. I love the lyrics here. Ric always had a way to play with the meaning of certain words. The Cars were the perfect vehicle for Pop rock. Greg Hawks brought the detail work with his catchy synths , the Precise driving force ,came with Elliot Easton's guitar solos, David Robinson kept the horsepower in line with his percussion skills, Ben Orr kept the wheels in motion with his bass guitar, and Ric was the man behind the wheel by bringing on, the quircky, New Wave vibe to the songs with his vocals. I also charted two songs from Ric's Solo album; which also came out in 1986.
#12. Ric Ocasek - Emotion In Motion (Doc #1) (BB #15)
#67. Ric Ocasek - True To You (DOC #5) (BB #75)
Ok here comes a big update from my own personal Top 100. Most of these came in shy of the top 10 on Billboard's Hot 100.
#65. Erasure - Oh L´amour (DOC #5) (BB N/A) Out of all the countries where it charted; I gave it its highest peak.
#61. Nu Shooz - Point Of No Return (DOC #6) (BB #28)
#57. Stacey Q - We Connect (!2' Version) (DOC #6) (BB Maxi singles sales #1) High Energy will alwyas be my favorite dance music.
#51. The Blow Monkeys - Digging Your Scene (DOC #5) (BB #14)
#46. Culture Club - Move Away (DOC #4) (BB #12)
#44. Nancy Martinez - For Tonight (DOC #4) (BB #32)
#41. The Psychedelic Furs - Pretty In Pink (DOC #3) (BB #41) Originaly recorded in 1981; the song got a make over in 1986, for the soundtrack for the movie of the same name. Out of all their singles, they only hit the U.S. Top 40 once with "Heartbreak Beat" Can you believe that?

"Point Of No Return" by Nu Shooz is awesome. It would have easily been in my Top 20 on this rankdown, and possibly even in my Top 10.

First, just want to say that I'm thinking about you and your family right now, Unhinged . Can't imagine the pain you're feeling right now. Take your time with this. I think we'll all understand if you need to take a break. I hope everybody will be OK. Coping with death is never easy, but it becomes exponentially worse when a young person dies, or when it's totally unexpected. I'm very sorry to hear about your family, Unhinged . My condolences are with you. I get that routine can maybe help things to an extent. But if things get too much, feel free to take some time off. Unhinged . Sorry to hear about your loss. Keep strong. I've had to deal with my own loss this year, but the music keeps me going. Music always brings the spirit up. Especially 80's music.
Thank you everyone for your support. Much appreciated. My apologies if I forgot to include anyone...
After I finished yesterdays reveal I left work for the day and visited with family, which really helped.
I'm gonna start with the reveal again today (30-21) as I found it was helpful yesterday and I really want to finish this by Friday cause that's my last day of work and I'm off for two weeks and I will not be around much to do this.
My nephew was a huge music lover and an especially big fan of '80's music (and metal in particular - Mötley Crüe was his favorite and a group him and I bonded over) so I feel I'm doing this for him, somewhat...
So with that, let's continue...

One single from this album is guaranteed a top 10 placement on the next year for me. If we do rankings for the early 90s, the singles from WCD will do good as well.

I go back and forth on TC; Sometimes I think it's really pretty and delicate, and other times it leans too much towards baby talk. Change Of Heart is my favorite single from this album.
WU is amazing.

I was introduced to 'Your Love' through Katy Perry's cover version, it's a good song. I'm meh on 'True Colours'; that and 'Time After Time' are a couple of Cyndi's most recognizable songs but I'm not into either of them.

Venus needs to exit soon. It's good, but not THAT good.

Still surprised that this finished above Kyrie.
My bottom 30 is cleared now I think, and I have one more from my bottom 40.

What the fuck is my #100 still doing here while a bunch of excellent songs continue to fall??
Like, I'm not that surprised that it beat my #1 (a beautiful, ethereal song, but not the most accessible song here either) and my #9, but that's about as far as I thought it would go over my top 10s, especially knowing that it had another #100.
("Venus" can also go, no idea why that's still in here.)

There is no excuse for Danger Zone going before the ballad.

I'm expecting WHYDFML to be the first Janet song to go, but it really should be WITOY.

There were worse, even more schlocky things on this list, but I won't miss this one.

Unhinged do you have a list of the songs that are still in this?
