#33 brings us the 3rd lowest SD in the rankdown. Only one top 10 goes down here, and it’s someone who hasn’t lost a top 10 yet. A rankdown low of 2 bottom 10s also go out. If you want to know about the movements, it’s kinda all over the place. It was in the top 20 for around 3 lists, then crashed hard into the bottom 10, then settled here, at #33.

From one low SD to another, #32 is the 7th lowest SD in the rankdown. Only one of you put it top 10, but it was a top 5. Meanwhile, in the bottom 10, we only have 2 bottom 10 rankings again! This song started off in the high 20s and steadily but surely sunk inch by inch down to #32.

We end tonight’s reveals with another BOOM. However, not a high SD boom. A boom as in our FIRST #1 LOSS. In addition to this #1, there is a dreaded #50. 2 other posters tried to help out the person who put it at #1. The reason this didn’t have a higher SD was that only 2 other people than the #50 put it in their bottom 10.
Oh, and this was in the top 10 for multiple lists, and in the top half for a large portion of the rankdown.

Is it just me or does the Spiritualized song kind of sound like something from Gorillaz debut album? It definitely has those vocals and the Trip-hop influences and the spaceyness Of some songs like Sound Check (Gravity)

yeah knew it wasn't going to last long but it was a nice run while it lasted. The enormous tension that this song builds grabbed me the first time I heard it and still has yet to dull after many repeated listens.

overall can't complain about this set, the only disappointments are I Felt Your Shape & Ladies And Gentlemen we're floating in space going out too early. the former was a really good discovery, definitely should've gone further, don't get the super low ranks.

If I were ranking this again today I Felt Your Shape would've jumped into my top 4 comfortably. Easily my favourite discovery from a rankdown for a long time.

"Dream House" and "Oxygen" deserved to do better. I'm not surprised they're out already though.

That Swans song was absolutely awful. Nothing pleasant whatsoever from that listen. You guys are crazy with the kind of crap you'll put in your top tens

Let's see...my 49 is still alive, my 46 is still alive, and my 41-44 are still alive. Is this the time for me to say that I quite liked every song here? :kii:
Outside of the one song that I expected to lose very early, the rest of my top ten is still in tact, though. If I can get through this next reveal without losing a top five (no guarantees, given a couple of the songs there), I'd be content.

This set sucked, apart from my #50 leaving. Most of my higher tracks that left here were on the more inaccessible end so I'm not too surprised, though I wasn't expecting "Corona" to be out this early (I thought the Jackass association would help it some). Hope the next set will be better for me....

What’s that Josey Scott? We’re starting tonight with another BOOM? That’s right, we’re about to see the 3rd highest SD leave right now at #30. 3 of you lose a top 10 here, with 2 of them being top 5s. 3 more of you attempted to help them by putting this in your top 20. Well, what’s the issue, then? The 4 bottom 10s--wait, hold on, 4 bottom FIVES. One of those bottom 5’s may or may not be a dreaded #50. This was top 10 at one point. However, it was also bottom 10 at one point.

#29 helps us escape from the controversy, as it has a pretty low SD. Not one of the 10 lowest, though. Only one of you put this in your top 10, but 5 more of you put it in your top 20. 5 of you put this in your bottom 10, although only 2 of those rankings are bottom 5's. Movement wise, this popped into the top 20 multiple times, and even the top 15 once, but it steadily got lowered down to #29.

I think the number of jazz songs in rankdowns all-time is maybe <5, for sure <10

Last summer I had a bit of a 90's rock phase, and I attempted to find more hits than just the big grunge giants of the 90's. There are a few of these other discoveries here, but this is the first one to go. Something about the odd time signatures and the lyrical content just made this a mysteriously awesome jam, and it was a big part of my soundtrack to last summer.

#28 also strays away from too much controversy, but this is slightly more controversial than #29. 4 of you lose a top 10 here, one of which is a top 5. Only two people put this bottom 10, and one of those is a bottom 5. What dragged this song down were the middle rankings, 6 of which alone are in the 31-40 range. Movement wise, this started pretty slow, but eventually bounced up to almost break into the top 15.

Remember, I liked my #50. Louie being my #49 does not mean that I disliked it at all. It just kind of got lost in the shuffle as I listened to more songs.
Was not expecting five bottom tens for "Possum Kingdom", but shrug

#27 ramps up the controversy even more, being just shy of the top 10 highest SDs. 3 of you put this top 10, 2 of which are top 5s. Everyone who loses a top 10 here has already suffered at least once. However, 4 of you put this bottom 10, one of you even putting it bottom 5. This song was pretty much on an upward climb the entire rankdown. At one point early on, it was even in the bottom 3.

And here’s the poor song to just miss the top half. I’m actually surprised #26 doesn’t have a higher SD. I mean, just look at the stats. 4 top 10's, and one of which is a top 5--wait, I mean NUMBER ONE. Meanwhile, there are 3 bottom 10s to even the top rankings out. Speaking of evening out, one of those bottom 10's is a dreaded #50. This song spent multiple rankings itching to break into the top 10, only to fall out of the top 20 overall.
