#17 sees us lose 4 top 10’s, 2 of which are top 5’s. Only 3 of you put this bottom 10. This didn’t have a very high or low SD--it was pretty much average the whole time. Early on, it crashed and burned a little into the bottom 20, but it pretty steadily climbed back up to finish at #17.

#16 is a song some of you have been expecting to leave for a while.
5 top 10’s fly off here, 2 of which are top 5’s. Only one bottom 10 goes out here. This song almost hit top 10 once, only to fall back pretty quickly. At one point, like Song for Zula, this fell to the bottom 20.

We’re getting mighty close to the top 10; we’re about to reveal #15. 4 top 10’s die off, 2 of which are top 5’s. 2 bottom 10’s go out here. For about the first half of submissions, this was in the top 10 most of the time, until it slowly got dragged down. The lowest position it ever got to was #16.

#14 brings back the low SDs, as this is the 6th lowest SD. However, one of you is gonna see your NUMBER ONE leave here. Only one other person put this top 10. And, only one person put this bottom 10. You can see why this has such a low SD now. This song rose up the rankings steadily the entire time. Although it never broke into the top 10, it got very close, staying at #11 for multiple lists.

Hope you enjoyed that brief respite, cause we’re bringing back the high SDs. #13 is the 9th highest SD in the game. SIX top 10’s go down here, FOUR of which are top 5’s, and one of them is a dreaded NUMBER ONE. Only 2 bottom 10’s go down here, but the high SD comes from the addition lower 30’s rankings. This song started off kinda slow, but quickly it got up to the 11-15 range, which it never left for the remainder of the game.

And let’s find out the poor song to miss the top 10. #11 is neither a high or low SD. However, a rankdown high SEVEN top 10's go down. FIVE of those are top 5’s. One bottom 10 goes down. What prevented this song from making the top 10 was the lack of upper support aside from the top 10’s. There was only one ranking in the 11-20 range. This song hung around the lower end of the top 10 for most of the game.

This is pretty much the top 10 I expected to see. I guess maybe I thought it was a toss-up as to which Omar project would place higher, and I thought Anberlin would have had a better chance over some of the songs from my own top 10 because of being more accessible. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with how the results have gone. My rooting interests are essentially just that neither of the remaining songs I mentioned in my previous post win. Would also be nice if we weren't heading for another predictable Muse victory, but, as much as I'm not a Muse fan, thankfully this pick was pretty good. I think it's 50/50 on whether my 1 reaches the top 5 now. Other than MotP, "Rusty Cage" and "Passenger" are the songs I'm most confident will battle it out for top 2.

This is one of the best top 10s I've ever seen in a rankdown! I'm especially pleased with how well my #11 and #18 have performed. I wish I could've ranked them higher in retrospect.
"Good Morning, Captain" was my favorite discovery here. I loved it more with each listen. When I did my final play through it moved up from #24 to #9.
I'm somewhat disappointed with Thrice and At the Drive-In missing the top 10 but they still did really well all things considered. I think I would be happy with any of the remaining songs coming out victorious aside from my #25. That song was good but to me it was on a level below compared to what's remaining.

It's a good song, but it's not top ten worthy, not in this rankdown. And really, Lordef†ones? You're surprised "One More Time" made the top ten?  |
