This is one of the few songs I've heard from them that I don't flat-out dislike, but I agree that this is basically a lesser version of Josh Turner's "What It Ain't" (and really, when Josh Turner is involved, everything is superior...). I'm definitely a little surprised that this one has kept chugging along how it has and has made the top 30. I really didn't foresee them ever getting that high on the charts again after the last few flops, and this song is still selling very poorly considering the airplay for it.

“Where Were You” definitely needs a single release. Their best song in years.

"Love Ain't" moves up another spot to #12 Mediabase this week gaining 234 spins this week.
I think there is a non zero chance this can become the groups first Top 10 single since "Drunk Last Night". Kind of hope this can hang on there to become a Top 10 as I am not optimistic fully about this bands long term radio success.

So what chance is that? 10% 100? -20%? Non zero means not zero so I am confused. I like this so I am hoping it can and I trust your analysis so I am curious.

Fingers crossed for Top 10! This band has always deserved so much more.

Basically it’s got a great chance to make it. I understand the phrase since I’ve seen it used before, but I’ve never liked it lol

I’m so happy they’re close to the Top 10 again. This band has always made interesting music. I was shocked that radio stopped caring but now they’re somehow back. Here’s hoping it can get further than #10.

Officially their first Mediabase Top 10 since "Drunk Last Night" with another week having a triple bullet. Very happy radio is giving them a bit of a comeback and hope this can also get the Billboard Top 10.

I do think in the coming weeks Thomas Rhett will pass the group. So that would leave them third in line for the Top 10. I expect Kelsea Ballerini to take Jake Owen's spot on next week's Billboard chart. Thomas Rhett would probably take Chris Stapleton's spot and the third song to go recurrent in the current Top 10 would be Michael Ray but that would probably take a few weeks. I do expect a few weeks of "Love Ain't" kind of waiting just outside the Billboard Top 10.

Crazy that this song is 1 spot below Kelsea's "Miss Me More" on the airplay charts and while her song is #60 on the Hot 100... this one hasn't even charted there yet. Good for the label (and for EYB) at getting them another hit again, but this just isn't connecting.

Testing saved "Love Ain't" -- that's a big reason why its stuck around for top 10. It's #3 overall on Mediabase callout, with the lowest dislike and third highest favorite score. I know it's been a good researched song for the company that owns our station, too. You factor in that BMLG went all in for getting this up the charts and EYB has their first top 10 single at radio in over 5 years.

This should get to #1 on Mediabase, most likely the week after Chase Rice likely gets it on May 5th. Big top 10 conversions the past two weeks (133 spins gained today) and this song, despite not being a big seller, is testing extremely well. It wasn't looking good for them after the failed Turn It On EP (along with a country cover of "Honey, I'm Good"...remember that? lol), along with "Saltwater Gospel" failing to make the top 40, and the Fingerprints album, which BMLG didn't even attempt a song at terrestrial radio. But "Love Ain't" was the song they needed to get a hit again. This band has had an up and down road with radio success since 2008, so I'm not sure what will happen with their next single but it's nice to see them get another hit.

It'll be interesting to see how their next single does. Considering how poorly this has moved the needle (or lack thereof) outside of radio, I could see it being a fluke and they go back to struggling. They'll need to follow it with something that connects on a broader scale for them.

They just need to keep cranking out these simple, strong testers. That's what listeners really want to hear.

Can they top Billboard? It's been five and a half years since Drunk Last Night became their previous #1:

I’ll go out on a limb and call this one of the biggest surprises in country music in 2019. The only bigger surprise in my opinion would be Wheeler Walker Jr getting a number one. I thought Scotty McCreery coming back and getting a number one was huge....
