It seems they're having some sort of issue with the server and only letting members view topics until it's fixed.

It seems they're having some sort of issue with the server and only letting members view topics until it's fixed. Yeah this has happening for almost a month now. I occasionally go on there to get some information from some of their chart threads, but I can't since they are having server issues and only members can view at this time.

^^Like in the 50's? It always confused how that happened, I find it hard to believe that two songs ever have exactly the same amount of points in any given week, or sell exactly the same. What are the odds? The odds may not be great in general, but when you consider that 100 songs chart each week for 52 weeks a year, even small odds mean it will happen now and again.

Maybe with sales, but with streams a tie is pretty much impossible now (with radio too, but self-reported radio may have been reported in round numbers before. IDK)

I mean, look at how often ties happen in Olympics swim and other events.

"Psycho" will be the unluckiest #2-peaking song if it will have a third missed shot at #1. :( I really hope it can get there, though.

2 songs on one single. Both charting Some examples Carole King 'It's Too Late"/"I Feel The Earth Move" George Harrison "My Sweet Lord"/"Isn't It A Pity" Beatles "Something"/"Come Together" Elton Jon "Something About The Way You Look Tonight"/"Candle In The Wind 1997" Since Hot 100 is a songs chart - doesn't happen anymore Here's the full list of recognized double sided #1's on the Billboard pre-Hot 100 singles chart and the Hot 100 chart: Don't Be Cruel/ Hound Dog - Elvis Presley - 8/18/56 Jail House Rock/Treat Me Nice - Elvis Presley - 10/21/57 Don't/I Beg of You - Elvis Presley - 2/10/58 BTW, Elvis has the most double sided #1's. After the Hot 100 debuted in August 1958, Billboard started charting A and B sides of singles separately, so double sided #1's simply weren't possible; however, 11 years later, in November 1969, Billboard ceased their practice of charting A and B sides separately, and the first week they did this happened: Something/Come Together - The Beatles - 11/29/69 Now that is was possible for it to happen again, other artists started getting double sided #1's as well: Thank You(Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin/Everybody Is A Star- Sly & The Family Stone - 2/14/70 American Woman/No Sugar Tonight - The Guess Who - 5/9/70 The Long and Winding Road/For You Blue - The Beatles - 6/13/70 (their 2nd double sided #1 single and their last single in the USA as a group) My Sweet Lord/Isn't It A Pity - George Harrison - 12/26/70 It's Too Late/I Feel the Earth Move - Carole King - 6/19/71 Maggie Mae/Reason to Believe - Rod Stewart - 10/02/71 After the very early 70's, double sided #1's, for whatever reason, stopped happening again. They would not reappear until the mid 90's when 2 artists managed to have them, coincidentally right after each other on the chart: How Do U Want It/California Love - 2Pac featuring Jodeci/featuring Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman - 7/13/96 You're Makin' Me High/Let It Flow - Toni Braxton - 7/27/96 And then Elton John had a massive double sided #1 single in Oct 1997: Candle in the Wind 1997/ Something About the Way You Look Tonight - Elton John - 10/11/97 At the end of 1998, Billboard changed the Hot 100 from a singles chart to a songs/tracks chart, making double sided #1's non-existent again. All in all, there are 13 double sided #1's that topped the Billboard singles chart/Hot 100 chart during its history.

If Psycho hits #1, it will be the 4th Hip-Hop/Rap song in a row to do it.
When has that happened before?

Not really considering the 1st time it wasn’t even close, the 2nd time it would’ve been weak for a number one anyways, and the third time is the weakest battle for number one that I’ve seen since I started following this shit almost 2 years ago

And if Billboard had been consistent pre-track change:
1998: Will Smith: "Gettin' Jiggy wit it/Men In Black" Sarah McLachlan: "Adia/Angel" The standard CD single also included the original version of "I Will Remember You," so three songs - all eventually became hits in some form - a great purchase.

Stand Up, Hey Ya, The Way You Move, Slow Jam (2003-2004)
That's the only other time 4 songs in a row were Hip-Hop/Rap songs.

And yeah, I was just thinking about it, earlier - 18 of the 23 charts this calendar year (going by Billboard's dates, at least) had a song with a hip-hop artist as a lead at #1 on the Hot 100. This does not even include Young Thug as a feature on "Havana". That's 18 consecutive weeks, too; and it looks like the streak is probably going to continue into the foreseeable future, as well. :O

There have been tons of albums that produced more than 5 Top 10s. Or more than 5 songs in the year-end Hot 100. Especially if we include songs like this new Maroon 5 Featuring Cardi B to be part of the Red Pill Blues. Because that would mean that Teenage Dream's 6 #1 songs would all count too. (8 top 3 songs).

I just discovered that "Don't Wanna Know" and "Cold" aren't even in that album, and that "What Lovers Do" was the official lead single. Very confused about that. Honestly thought "Don't Wanna Know" (God that song is awful) had been the first single. If that's not the case, then we're really only up to two top 40 singles out of that album, right?

New Kanye West album comes out in 30 minutes.
It all comes down to this.
It's Kanye. You never ever know what type of music he's about to drop.
And of course, I'm on the edge of my seat to find out what kind of commercial impact his choice of hats will have on his music.

Everyone counts Finesse with Cardi as part of 24k Magic so it should count for whatever potential record... but I can't think of any, especially with Cold and Wait missing top 15. DWK is the era's only #1 on Pop radio as well.

If we're talking year end Top 100, there should be dozens of albums in the last three decades with 5 hits.

Teenage Dream, The Dutchess, 1989 and The E.N.D. all have at least five Top 10 hits.
Just off the top of my head. Dunno if all 20 of those songs made the year end, but they probably did.
