I want solo Adele for the lead!!! But, it'd be cool to see Nicki at #1.

Smh...got me all excited for nothing. Unless Adele called her up and told her to retract her statement until it’s time to release lol

I'd rather Adele rap herself. A collab with Nicki gets a big NO from me.

There was no reputable source. It was a bunch of people spreading gossip (that someone probably made up) on Twitter.
I expect there to be SOME kind of hint from her or the label that something is coming before it drops.

Bummer. We really need a big release from someone soon. It feels like absolutely nothing is on the horizon which is surprising considering this is the time that first singles are usually released for an album release in Nov/Dec ($$$).

The next rumor was that October 25 would be the release date with the album out in two weeks on November 8. That's likely not true either, but I have seen a reputable source (If I'm not mistaken it's on page 5 of this thread) say that November 8 would be the single release, with the album still out by Christmas, should all be good and ready. I guess these next 2-3 weeks will tell! I'm perched and ready; I got my 18 wigs and everything

If Adele doesn't release a single in November, then I don't think she's releasing an album this year.

If Adele doesn't release a single in November, then I don't think she's releasing an album this year. I believe she’s one of the few artists left that could do a surprise album drop and have it be a blockbuster. Not saying she will but I wouldn’t rule it out completely.

I agree, but I don't think her label would do that. They probably want to promote the single first, then the album but I totally agree with you on that as well.

Didn't she say she wanted to stop taking her age to name her albums In that case I think she might be planning to re-branch herself completely or at least play with new directions and sounds I'd be so down for that!

"Hello" was one of those pop culture moments where anyone who was alive at the time who had the ability to could tell you exactly where they were and what they were doing at midnight on October 23, 2015. It was even better for my country-music-fan self because October 23, 2015 happened to have been the same day Carrie Underwood dropped her fifth album, Storyteller, and was on the Today Show to perform. Anyways, I personally did not stay up because I just couldn't but when i woke up I went RIGHT to YouTube and under the search bar i didn't even have to type "adele" I just typed in the letter "a" and Hello was the first option.
Still my favorite music video to date, and one of my favorite singles. Such an iconic and incredible song.

Q4 2015 was such a fun time to be a chart watcher. The record breaking releases of Hello, followed by 25 was an amazing thing to watch. Plus, I loved Adele’s media blitz, performing and interviewing everywhere.

I love “Hello,” but I have no idea where I was or what I was doing when it premiered. Not exactly a 9/11 moment!

I'm pretty sure I was on Pulse waiting for it to drop, but I am a night owl with no life so I have an unfair advantage over the rest of you with bad memories

Highlighting just how spectacular and iconic “Hello’ was, only shines the spotlight on the tepid remainders of ‘25’ (by ADELE standards). I still have no idea what they were thinking releasing the insipid WWWY not only so quickly, but also as a single at all. I hope this era brings forth better promotion and consistent promotion. Even more amazing about the “Hello” video being fastest to 1B - it’s 6-minute length.

When We Were Young is one of my all time favorite Adele songs but yeah it never sounded like single material to me. Water Under The Bridge would’ve done better second and then let Send My Love chart throughout the summer (like it already did).

I think WUTB being released so late in the album cycle (it charted in 2017 lol) really hurt its performance as it was already pretty popular when the album dropped so I totally agree with the aforementioned suggestion, maybe they could've released River Lea or Sweetest Devition as the final single to finish the era with something more in the vein of 21
I'm pretty excited for this, wasn't super hyped when Hello was announced but everything she releases is at least great so no worries here Nobody could see her flopping

For a second I thought that last insta post she was announcing her single out tmw.
Fuck I'm SO hyped for her new music, can she continue the most exciting pop week of the year so far with new music tmw? Is that too much to ask?

Water Under The Bridge would’ve done better second and then let Send My Love chart throughout the summer (like it already did). Yep. That's exactly how I thought it would go. I remember hearing WUTB on the radio when the album was released and thought it would be the perfect follow-up both sonically and lyrically to Hello. Oh well, looking forward to the new era and hope it will be more carefully promoted. Like Sade, we can count on music that will not only be high quality, but also timeless.

"WWWY" is my favorite song from that album, and I remember reaction to it being strong at first. After the album release it sold the most downloads of the album tracks. To that end it wasn't a surprise it was a single, but it obviously ended up disappointing.

She’s at Drake’s bday party and she’s gotten quite thin.
