Why are we acting like the new single is a #1 contender? Right now, it’s barely pacing above Jumpsuit and Girls Like You, and it looks lIke it’ll peak before the 50% mark, probably totaling 50,000 sales optimistically, not enough to vie for the spot, especially if there’s no big audio streaming push. Just because it started with a music video doesn’t help it, in fact with the new formula it hurts the song if people are watching it on YouTube instead of spinning it on Spotify or Apple or something similar.

#1 isn't up for debate. I LOOOVE the song and video but no one is taking the #1 from In My Feelings in the next couple of weeks unless something really major happens.

Ariana made a choice to release other songs during a time where the song could have debuted at #1 so it's not like she didn't have a chance last month. The social media challenge is expanding In My Feelings' appeal and audience. It's gonna be a long running #1. Harlem Shake and Black Beatles spent multiple weeks at #1 boosted by a social media challenge so what more Drake who is at the peak of his popularity right now, killer combo to dominate the chart even further

I think you're all overestimating 21P appeal. The song doesn't sound very pop friendly, and their three smash hits all did well on Pop. I can't see Jumpsuit connecting like that.
I also don't see Ariana having a huge debut either. Probably around top 30.
