Wow, this is the first Christian song on Hot 100 since Needtobreathe’s Brother (07/25/2015). I’m beyond excited for this project just like everyone

Wow, what an awesome debut!!! This song is absolutely incredible and deserves all its success. I didn't think anything would ever come close to topping "How Can It Be" from her but this one may just do that...

I can't believe this is still Top 10 on iTunes... Maybe it can sneak a second week on the Hot 100?

It would be nice if Lauren had a legit crossover, but lyrically her stuff is much more explicitly Christian than a lot of her CCM contemporaries so that makes it tough. If she has something on the new album that's just sort of an uplifting song that's not lyrically religious, she may have a moment, but that's not really her style.

I don't see why this couldn't crossover aside from the choral touches. It sounds very much like an Adele song.

I honestly think this could have a shot at crossing over. If you don't know this is a Christian song and Lauren is a Christian artist, you could easily think this is about a relationship. She only says "God" once in the 3rd verse/bridge. And if they were worried about that, they could even just rework that verse for a pop edit (highly doubt they'd do this but it would work). But it does sound very much like an Adele song and I think people could relate to it even if they aren't religious.
I could see this getting some play on HAC like For King & Country does, but doubt it does much more than that regardless of what they do.

There is no way they are going to play a song about getting your worth and identity from a man on pop radio. It's explicitly Christian.

Re-entered Top 10 on iTunes. Back at #9. Why is this selling so well?

I think this is a song lots of people would want to share with someone that is down, has low self-worth etc. honestly this is Taylor-made for a teen audience and I think that's who it is resonating with.

Re-entered Top 10 on iTunes. Back at #9. Why is this selling so well? I don't know, but there's definitely something going on. If it was just fanbase-driven a song of this nature would go 53-OUT on the Hot 100 (in the event it would even manage to chart in the first place). So obviously the song is spreading and getting new listeners. Recently with Bad Wolves - Zombie, it had a really good iTunes performance with hardly any airplay, and from what I gather a big factor behind that was it was getting shared a lot on Facebook, so maybe a similar thing here. It's cool to see. I want it to chart for months, even just from a chart-watching perspective because I am curious to see how mainstream radio would react to it.

I could see this logging at least four or five more weeks on the Hot 100 since the album release is next month and this song appears to be connecting with people and doing really well on its own! So happy for her. Beautiful, beautiful song.

I am so impressed this was num.10 on Itunes when I last looked last night. I love her new song that came out today "Still Rolling Stones". It has an Adele "Rolling in The Deep" feel to it.

Random comparison, but Lady Antebellum’s "Heart Break" has been charting on country radio for nearly a year and couldn’t even crack the Hot 100; meanwhile this has already logged its fourth week on said chart.
Not to mention this is outselling every country song at the moment. Super impressive, especially with the album release still a few weeks way (which will give this an even bigger boost when that comes). I was gonna go as far as to say this might be the song to propel her to superstardom, but that might be reaching a bit.
I NEED this to cross over in the future though.

I could see them push this to country with a revised arrangement

This song debuted at #8 on 20: The Countdown Magazine this past weekend. I'm predicting that this is going to be another #1 for her!

I admittedly have an aversion to Christian music... which is simply a relatability issue. I can't relate to lyrics of worship. But when a song (vocal, production, whatever) manages to get me in my feelings, I'm open to it. Jars of Clay did it a couple times in the 90s. That "I Can Only Imagine" song kinda crept into my feelings (even if I felt emotionally manipulated in the process). It may be the Adele-esque quality of this record, but I do like it. She's a talented vocalist.
Does she have any songs that aren't all about Jesus? Asking for a friend.
