www2.allaccess.com/sounds/limpbbeh.ramAll I can say is why didn't they release this first? This is so much better than "Eat You Alive", which was nothing but typical Limp Bizkit crap. It'll be interesting to see how this does.

It's a pretty decent cover. And that's why it wasn't released first. If people were waiting 2 years for a new single and all they got was a cover, then nobody would care about their other songs anymore. Now, with their career on life support, they'll try anything to keep them afloat.

For a good time, check out the following: www.metacritic.com/music/artists/limpbizkit/resultsmayvary/This site takes every available critical review of the album on the net and averages the scores. I read every full review of Durst's new project that I could find, and I don't think I've laughed so hard in months. Then there's the 3-star Rolling Stone review, which is unintentionally funny in its sheer stupidity. I knew Durst had them in his back pocket, but come on...

I go to that site quite often and those reviews did give me a good laugh. It looks like its one of the lowest if not lowest rated albums on the website.

What the heck is up with the bridge? "L-I-M-P, Discover" coming out of a Speak & Say?!

What the heck is up with the bridge? "L-I-M-P, Discover" coming out of a Speak & Say?! Funny you mention that, because so did AMG in their review! He invokes icons callously -- "ease your pain/like a melody from Kurt Cobain" -- most notably on a boneheaded cover of the Who's "Behind Blue Eyes," turning it into a Staind song with a Speak & Spell on the bridge ("B-I-Z-K-I-T. Say it") and adding insult to injury by misspelling Pete Townshend's name in the credits.

This is because Mr. Durst didn't write it, although it's obvious he tried very very hard to turn it into a crap song.

I really like this song, actually. But, I'm almost certain that The Who whiped their asses with Limp's version. I really have to hear the original (which I haven't yet ). The thing that I hate about this song, though, is all that dumb "L.I.M.P. Discover" shit in the middle of the song. I usually either stop playing the song, or fast forward through that part whenever I play the song. Why the fuck did they have to put that crap in an otherwise great song?

I think this song is very boring, but I've only heard it twice. I actually did kind of like "Eat You Alive," I'm surprised it didn't do so well. I like much better than "Nookie." I still think "Faith" is their best... probably because Dunst didn't write it. But they did make the song much much better.

How come this has a pop adds date but no alternative adds date? Because Durst finally figured out he's not alternative?

i'm actually enjoying this, sure it doesn't beat the original. I didn't hear the "L-I-M-P" thing in the middle (i have it downloaded, so i guess it's not on it, i dunno) Fred isn't actually trying to oversing this (which he did with John Rzeznik for "Wish You Were Here" as well) seems like Fred keeps his voice in check when it comes to slow covers....

I don't think I ever want to hear this. I really like the Who, and I'm not sure I want to hear what Fred is doing to this classic.

Though I haven't heard the original, this isn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. I actually like it quite a bit.
The melodies are strong and though I don't think Fred has the intent of the original lyrics in mind, he sings convincingly. So even though his interpretation/understanding of the song is dumbed down, I at least believe he means what he gets out of it.
And the bridge doesn't distract me nearly as much as you all made it out. It's kinda dumb, but it actually sounds kinda cool.
Though the kiss scene with Halle Berry in the video is exploitative ego masturbation. Otherwise, the video's kinda cool too.

I heard this on the MTV first. I felt this song from the first listen, I love it. Hate to say it but it's better than the Who version IMO, I think that Fred Durst made it his own. This may be one of a few songs that debuted at number one on my charts this year and their second number one on my chart.

I like this. I think it's gonna get the shaft though.
For as much as you guys rip on Limp Bizkit, they do have a quite impressive repertoire of radio singles. Except "faith", of which their version is the worst radio song in the history of radio.

I honestly like this song and you don't know how much it pains me to say that. Since Wes left the band I can't say I am behind them musically. EYA was a piece of crap and RLGL wasn't much better. However I have not heard the original so I have nothing to compare it to

I like it much better than I would have imagined. They're pretty faithful to the original by the Who. Still, I see no point in releasing a remake of this song, when the original was fine.

Still, I see no point in releasing a remake of this song, when the original was fine. It's called "declining popularity." Durst's career was launched on the back of someone else's song, and now it'll end that way. How fitting.

So you don't think that Limp Bizkit is any better than a cover band? Because I do find some originality in their lyrics off their first album. Of course I don't mean "Faith"

Hmmm...maybe I can guess! Were they: I'm gonna bring that beat back I'm gonna bring that beat back I'm gonna bring that beat back, beat back Bring that beat back, beat backOr maybe you're referring to: let's take it to the curb, put yourself in my position man ahh, take it to the curb, put yourself in my position man punk, how you wanna take it to the curb ahh, you wanna take it to the curbNo, you must be talking about: nobody loves me, nobody cares nobody loves me, nobody owes me a thing nobody loves me, nobody cares nobody loves me, maybe I'll go eat wormsIt's obvious the man is a genius. I stand corrected.

The only redeeeming quality about this song is that the video is pretty good. The L-I-M-P bs in the bridge is comical. This will be the last of any of their songs to get any airplay at all.

I've made a no-bridge edit of the song. It's actually very good to listen to now. Whenever I hear it on my active rock station, the L-I-M-P stuff is not only in the bridge, but in the chorus too! :o

I seriously thought they were done on pop and alternative formats with this song, but all of the sudden it started creeping and expanding especially on alternative. This song doesn't bug me as much as Eat You Alive.
