FEFE is the Bodak Yellow of last year, it just needs more sales and airplay to be a contender for the top position. And I feel like In My Feelings has definitely peaked and only has another week or two before another song takes over (GLY, FEFE, etc)

Let's see how much hype Billboard devotes to BTS. After all, they have the 74th best-selling album of 2018. Honestly, until I saw the SPS totals through Week 40, I thought they were closer to 1MM than barely over 300K. Today's 'bomb' will last about 12 hours max.

PLEASE, can we not start threads about a potential BTS album bomb? If their last album proved anything, it's that their stuff, at least in the US, is extremely frontloaded. Their last album occupied a lot of spots in the top 10 of US iTunes, too, but their songs never stick around long enough to cause any real damage. Fake Love managed to debut top 10, and then it dipped right out of the charts soon after and even that song had a video (which was also super frontloaded [40 million views first day and barely 10 million views the rest of the tracking week]). They're a huge boy band, but their stuff never does any real damage here in the US.

All this is because his songs have a lot of longevity on the charts and he usually knows how to play his cards to top the charts, even if it's just for a week like with Psycho. |

Posty had great steaming on better now all through May. If he had pushed it to radio and dropped an MV then, it probably would’ve hit #1. But i can see why he didn’t.

Rihanna is DEFINITELY releasing this year.
She just posted multiple videos of her "in the studio" on her Instagram stories.
Her September will be very busy considering it's FentyxBeauty's one year anniversary and she'll be showcasing her SavagexFenty line for NYFW as well as her hosting another Diamond Ball, but I can still see her dropping a single anytime.
If anything... she was teasing us.
I hope she releases the lead single in the next 2-4 weeks. I need to see her on the charts again!

Since Republic is the best and smartest record label in the world, I'm sure they're aware of the fact that they're sitting on a gold mine and that they're going to milk the 'Beerbongs & Bentleys' album for all its worth. And that means releasing many more singles and music videos (including one for 'Better Now').  Also can't wait for new Rihanna! |

I think her album still isn't finished and I think her next era will be run exactly the way she ran the last one: drop lead single, drop album right after and go on tour right after that and I still believe all that will happen early in the new year like it did during the ANTi era. She's got too much business to attend to this year that has nothing to do with music. I think she'll try and finish everything up this year and focus on her next album era next year. |
