This Is America being #100 this week, means its chart run is likely over. It is the 6th weakest #1 ever, based on chart runs using Billboard's all-time formula. Weakest #1s ever, points: 1. I Believe (2004) - 125,789 2. Do I Make You Proud (2006) - 132,897 3. Inside Your Heaven (2005) -202,070 4. Crack a Bottle (2009) - 230,007 5. This Is the Night (2003) - 237,386 6. This is America (2018) - 237,672 Do you know how many songs were #1 and #100 at some point of their run? I only know for Black And Yellow.

Apparently 57. Thanks, I'm not really familiar with the pre-2010s charts, but I never thought that 53 songs were #1 and #100 at some point before "Black And Yellow".

Statistical coincidence - most of those songs landed there on the way down after hitting #1

I think maybe a big reason why IMF is falling so hard now is because the challenge really cheesed it up and made it less listenable as a serious hit. It gave it a huge spike, but only temporarily and there might be this backlash to it now. I certainly don't enjoy it as much after watching all those crappy videos lol. I don't think so. It's holding pretty well on the streaming front. It's also still selling fairly well on iTunes. I think it's crashing down radio because it's like the 98,750th Drake song this year to top both Rhythmic and Urban radio and Drake already has another single - Nonstop that's already top 10 on Rhythmic and almost top 10 on Urban, so this song just has to stop getting as much of a push as it was getting.

Very interesting week actually! Even though the top 5 is pretty static it looks like things will be shaken up soon.

I think over-saturation/burn can be a big factor. I don't think it's backlash to anything about this song, specifically, other than just how insanely huge its been for the last 2 months, and how he has other songs still/now doing their thing alongside it. There's only so much radio real estate.

Happy for LOVE LIES finally entering the top 10. Khalid songs are really slow burners
Backstreet Boys on its way out, I was hoping it could reach top 40 but anyway still unexpected chart run for them, I thought they will just chart for a week

Sheck Wes' Viral SoundCloud Hit 'Mo Bamba' Debuts on Billboard Hot 100
9/5/2018 by Xander Zellner
The Harlem rapper concurrently ranks at No. 27 on the Emerging Artists chart.
Harlem-based rapper Sheck Wes scores his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated Sept. 8), as "Mo Bamba" debuts at No. 82.
The track -- named for Mohamed Bamba, center for the NBA's Orlando Magic and with whom Wes grew up -- was uploaded to SoundCloud a year ago, and its official video arrived on YouTube on Jan. 30. But thanks to social media posts about it from Shaquille O'Neal, Drake, Odell Beckham Jr. and others, it has steadily been gaining traction in recent months.
Drake even gives the 19-year-old rapper a shout-out on Travis Scott's "Sicko Mode," on which Drake provides additional vocals. "When I shoot my shot, that shit wetty like I'm Sheck," Drake raps. Drake and Sheck Wes also performed the song together at the former's Aug. 22 concert at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. They also sang "Sicko Mode" with Travis Scott, as both MCs provide vocals on the song's studio version. "Sicko Mode" debuted and has peaked at No. 4 on the Hot 100 (Aug. 18) and currently stands at No. 7.
"Mo Bamba," which also debuts on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs at No. 33, drew 8.9 million U.S. streams (up 25 percent) and sold 1,000 downloads (also up 25 percent) in the tracking week ending Aug. 30, according to Nielsen Music. The cut was produced by 16yrold (full name: Jerry Cruz) and duo Take a Daytrip (Denzel Baptiste and David Biral).
Wes concurrently stands at No. 27 on the Emerging Artists chart.
Meanwhile, as previously reported, Drake's "In My Feelings" rules the Hot 100 for an eighth week.

BTS Returns to No. 1 on Billboard Artist 100 Chart
9/5/2018 by Xander Zellner
Plus, Alice in Chains debuts at No. 13.
After becoming the first K-pop act to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart in June, BTS returns to the top (on the chart dated Sept. 8), reigning as the top musical act in the U.S. for a second total week.
The Artist 100 measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.
BTS' return to No. 1 is powered by the group's new LP Love Yourself: Answer, which debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 185,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music, the biggest week in album units ever for a K-pop act.
BTS concurrently debuts the set's “Idol,” featuring Nicki Minaj, at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. It's the second-highest-charting hit ever for a K-pop act on the Hot 100, after only BTS' "Fake Love," which reached No. 10 in June.
Rounding out the Artist 100's top five, Drake rises 3-2; Travis Scott jumps 5-3; Ariana Grande falls to No. 4 after a third total week at No. 1; and Post Malone dips 4-5. Meanwhile, Alice in Chains makes the highest debut on the chart, at No. 13, as the veteran band's sixth studio album Rainier Fog arrives at No. 1 on the Top Rock Albums chart and No. 12 on the Billboard 200 with 31,000 units.
Among other Artist 100 moves, rock band Interpol re-enters at No. 38, matching its peak, and up-and-coming pop act Bryce Vine debuts at No. 80.
