It's true...same story with Junior. Crazy In Love Baby Boy Me myself & I Naughty Girl Deja Vu DC Girl! For Bee, there's "Check On It" also. And for DC, there's "Stand Up For Love". No wonder they weren't mentioned. Those mixes were awful! The billygoat effect on the vocals was just horrific in "Check On It." But I think the mixes he did for Beyonce/DC got worse each time he did mixes. I liked the "Crazy In Love" one, but there were many problems with the vocals. For "Me Myself & I", I like the mix overall, but I only liked the Marython Mix which re-created the synth hook from Junior's mix of "Your Child" by Mary J. Blige. |

stand up for love is one of the nastiest, cheesiest songs EVER. whether it's the song, video or remixes .. it's worst than "Loverboy" i swear. at least loverboy had a few good dance mixes.

I read a while ago at djricomixshow.com that the mix wasn't released because Junior did something similar like with "Toxic" Something like not listening to the original first, and not following the "keys" right resulting in the mix sounding weird? And so they went only releasing the dub |

Maurice's mix for this is TRAGIC. I'm not a huge Maurice Joshua hater like so many around these parts, but this mix is TERRIBLE. Just.....TERRIBLE. so i know it's been a while since this thread has been used but...
i just heard maurice's mix of this song and OMG IT'S HORRIBLE
(same with the ring the alarm mix!!)
what happened to him!!
i used to really like his mixes, until literally every single one of his mixes started sounding identicle (down to the samples/percussion!!)
and now his mixes are just down right f*cktarded..... wtf!!
i prefer freemasons sound to his with beyonce nowadays anyway.... at least there music changes from song to song... while still keeping the same style

The filtered acapella that is making the rounds is not that good. There's all this background noise and stuff. Not the usual kind of noise. It makes it sound like Beyonce is underwater and singing at the same time.
The 88 BPM makes mixing this a bit hard. If I speed it up to 125 to 128 for a dance mix, Beyonce sounds like she's a chipmunk. It's just toooo fast. See Junior's mix for "Check On It". He did it like that for there, and the results were not pretty. I doubled the pella to 176 and then slowed it down to 130 and it doesn't work either. It feels like it'll take a long time to get through the song.
I think a mix with a slowdown is the only kind of mix that would really work for this song and preserve the beauty of the original.
I'm curious to see what Ralphi Rosario did with this one.
