Sort by Pop Score and have All Ages and both Genders. Kelsea Ballerini is #6 overall as Pop Score is how they rank overall callout. I see. I was sorting by positives. She's still got that ratio of one in five listeners not liking the song, but I see what y'all are talking about. There's a high demand for this song even if it elicits a negative response from other listeners. In terms of buying spins, I don't think the spins were bought because this wasn't a true hit. I just don't think a "natural" (read: not heavily influenced by record label money) chart would work like this. A more authentic way of doing things would be for Morgan to get two or three weeks since "Whiskey Glasses" is an even bigger hit, and then maybe Kelsea sneaks in a week at #1 before the next big hit gets there (maybe "God's Country"). The big push this week makes it feel less authentic and more like an "everyone gets a trophy" scenario. Next week it'll be Brett Eldredge's turn. Then Lee. Then Blake. And so on and so forth. As raylatch98 this is the game. Now if you don't like the game I hear you. But to come around and call out the one female solo song that has a chance in the last 60 weeks as undeserved, versus the last 50+ male songs that have played the same game, is a bit much.

Oh, I could go down the list lol. There's a ton of songs that I think shouldn't have hit #1 this year. I just hadn't had time to be on here posting during their pushes. I'll be grumbling about plenty more unfair #1s this summer, rest assured. As far as personal opinion, I'd much prefer Kelsea's song to Morgan's. I despise "Whiskey Glasses" and the sooner it can start losing spins so I can stop having to change the radio station so much, the better.

"Whiskey Glasses" has turned out to be a huge hit and probably deserves at least 2 weeks at #1, but Kelsea's song has been a big hit for her as well and is just as deserving of hitting the top imo, and the fact that she'd be the first female in like 15 months to do it, I'm all for her getting the push to get there. It's also worth noting that Morgan's song has now been out for 11 months whereas Kelsea's been charting for about 8, so even though he's got a big hit on his hands, it took a helluva long time to get to this level of airplay and I'm sure many country stations are ready to move on from it.

I'll admit, Morgan's descent has been a little slower than I thought, that being said, I think Morgan will hang on for a 2nd week on BB despite Kelsea's massive push. Kelsea will likely get a MB only #1 and settle for a #2 BB peak. I don't think Kelsea can make up the 5 million in audience in 3 days with 1 of them likely being a down day.

Label wants Mediabase, they know Billboard Airplay probably won’t happen. Expect a massive amount of overnight spins to be given to Kelsea, shown in tomorrow and Sunday’s update.

We need to start betting markets for this stuff, lol. I'm placing my money on Kelsea getting Billboard this time around, too.

This gained 270 spins in today’s Mediabase update lol. It’s now #1 on the rolling chart, so Kelsea easily hit #1. Wallen fell more than I thought but nothing was stopping Black River. Programmers went all in giving Kelsea this #1 this week.

She's still 3 million behind Wallen. Black River will pull the plug tomorrow on Kelsea's song once it secures the MB #1. The only way Kelsea gets to #1 on BB is she has a massive enough gain today to pass Wallen in audience and both songs stay even tomorrow. I don't see that happening.

Miss Me More is on set to reach #1 on MB in today's update or the next day guaranteed.

Mediabase #1 locked in; unless they continue pushing for a second week at #1 on MB though, I don't think Billboard is happening. There's still 2.6 mill audience between her and Morgan Wallen, and I don't see her sneaking past tomorrow.

I don’t think it will get Billboard either and it certainly won’t get a second week atop either chart. Warner is maxing Brett Eldredge this week.

I am really happy this song got #1 on Mediabase, but man I was hoping it'd get both charts.
But I can't complain that much. It's been over a year since a solo female song hit #1 and I am glad this song got Kelsea Ballerini back on the radar heading into her third album cycle.

When’s the last time a song has secured two weeks on BB and one in MB with the second BB week being the BB-only one? It just doesn’t usually happen since once a song starts falling it usually falls pretty fast, but I guess there’s a first time for everything. I hate Morgan’s record but I can’t deny it’s been the bigger hit of these two, although like others have noted Kelsea’s callout clearly shows that even though MMM has high negatives, there’s also a passionate segment of the radio audience that really enjoys it. I think the fairest and most “natural” scenario would’ve been for Morgan to get the next week or two at #1 and for Kelsea to wait around and snag a week at the top before “Rumor” or “God’s Country” get there, but with how quickly Lee and Blake have been gaining I guess Kelsea wouldn’t have been able to hold them off for longer and radio may be eager to take Kelsea’s record out of rotation as soon as possible.
ETA: Yikes, another 300-spin gain on a Sunday. If this were truly a big hit, it could've waited its turn for #1. I guess I should be used to this by now, so I'll go on and clutch my pearls.

Officially #2 on the Billboard chart. "Girl" is the next hope for a BB female #1...we'll see. Frustrating, but glad she got the MB #1.
Kelsea's team just put out "We Were Like", the first from the upcoming album. I hesitate to start a thread, but it seems reasonable to assume this will be the next single. Definitely a catchy song that leans just as much pop as "Miss Me More" did.

Slow pop jam. I’m a big fan.

Yeah, "We Were Like" isn't new at all and I believe it was a fan favorite that missed the cut for Unapologetically, so I'd be surprised if they were going to push that one to radio next. I'm sure something brand new will be coming soon in the new couple months here.

Congrats Kelsea on the #1! "We Were Like" came out shortly after the Deluxe. It was supposed to be on the Deluxe but got bumped for an older song and Kelsea wanted the fans to still be able to hear the studio version. But now they can also purchase the track rather than just streaming it.
There is zero chance it will be on the next album or be an official album launch single.

I didn't even realize we got a deluxe with new songs? Yep. Exactly a year after its initial release, they re-issued it with 2 new songs and a live cover of "Landslide":

This is probably not the place to post this but does anyone else think Katy Perry’s new song sounds awfully similar to the chorus in Kelsea’s Get Over Yourself?

Now that Songland has officially aired and this is no longer a spoiler, here’s Kelsea’s new song: Better Luck Next Time.

I also mentioned about GOY similarity on Katy's thread. Glad someone took noticed.
Come across on Cam's Insta. She posted some really powerful msg about Kelsey's chart feat and real tea behind the Music Row machine. Kinda dissapoint but it happened.

As of this post, the song Kelsea picked from last night's "Songland" is #2 on all genres on iTunes. And the humorous fact on this is....she is #1 on the pop charts with this song because they have this characterized as pop on iTunes. AND because #1 is Old Town Road....which is characterized as county. 🤦🏻♂️ Everything about all of that is backwards.
