I prefer "Losing My Religion", but this is decent, too.

What's this? A low standard deviation? Yes, #31 is the source of this rankdown's sixteenth-lowest standard deviation. This song survived a bit of a rocky start early and held firm in the top 40 for much of the rankdown. It hovered in and out of the top 30 by the end of the rankdown.
Somehow, we have another song where all but fourteen posters will be losing a top half ranking. This time, just nine posters will be shedding a top 25 ranking, and just one top ten will be lost...but it's a high top five. Only one poster even ranked this song in their bottom 25.

The nineteenth-highest standard deviation swings us in the opposite direction at #30. Despite its high SD, there was never a point when this song wasn't in the top half, and this song was only briefly even out of the top 40.
All but twelve posters ranked this song in their top half, and FOURTEEN top 25 rankings will also be lost. "Only" five posters will be losing a top ten, though, and none are top fives, hence the somewhat low high SD this song has. One of the few remaining spotless top tens is about to be a lot less spotless. The opposition this time are the five bottom twenty and three bottom ten rankings. Two are low bottom fives.

Daysleeper and Redundant could've gone top 30 but I guess they didn't. The RATM song was really good as well.

Whoops, have to stay in high standard deviation territory...and let's go even higher with the eighth-highest standard deviation this time. #29 has 26 top half rankings, but the really telling stat is its top 25 rankings: SIXTEEN top 25 rankings will leave us with this reveal. In comparison, the six top ten rankings lost is sort of low, as is the single person losing a top five. There were no shortage of people who didn't like this song, though, with five posters losing a bottom twenty and four posters losing bottom tens.

To be honest, this grew on me a bit during the rankdown. I guess I can sort of understand the appeal. I'm still glad my bottom ten is cleared before the top 25. EDIT: WTF? The video version of the song sounds so much better than the one that was on the Spotify playlist. It's more energetic and 'musical', so to speak. I would have ranked that one a lot higher.

And the hits just keep. on. coming. #28 will give us the fourteenth-highest standard deviation. A mere 23 top half rankings will be lost this time, but a whopping EIGHTEEN can be found in the top 25. Just four are top tens, but one is a top five. Only three bottom twenty rankings can be found here, meanwhile, but two are bottom tens.

It's more energetic and 'musical', so to speak. Because we all know that anything that's even somewhat harsh can't be musical

This does make me wonder what would have happened if this was in 1999 instead. Would it have been top ten there?

Okay, for the last two standard deviations, let's calm things down a bit. This song started out pretty well, spending the first chunk of the rankdown inside the top 20. A brick wall pushed it out of the top 30 at one point, but it eventually found itself back in the top 30 again. It looked like it would make the top 25...and then it didn't.
All but twelve posters will be losing a top half ranking with the reveal of #27, though merely ten are top 25s. Four posters will be losing a top ten, however, with two posters losing top fives. Not only are both losing their first top five, but one will be losing their first top ten altogether. Most of this song's lowest rankings are somewhere in the bottom 40...but one poster will draw the ire of some by ranking this song bottom ten.

Depending on the day, either this or "Light Years" is my favorite song of theirs we've ranked yet. It can't even make the top 25.
Why do I even bother? 27

Let's move on before I make @pjscott11 walk over to my bedroom door, so I can yell at him some more. #26 will close the set with a multiple song artist. This song's highest point was early, but so was its lowest point. It spent much of the rankdown struggling to stick around in the top 30, but it almost found itself back in the top 25 by the end of the rankdown...and then, again, it didn't.
Of this song's 25 top half rankings, fifteen are in the top 25, and twelve are in the top 20. Just three can be found in the top ten, but someone will be losing back to back top tens. Again, most of this song's lowest rankings are merely bottom 40 or 30 rankings, but someone nearly ranked this song bottom ten.
