In My Feelings is predicted to exit the Top 10 this week, 10 weeks at #1 and only 2 weeks after getting unseated it's leaving the Top 10. It will be below I Like It.
Insane.

Not when you consider the level of consumption it was getting while on top... another example is Hello by Adele. Most songs' consumption is more spread out at relatively lower levels, which means more longevity.

Drake is one of those artists who rises fast, then stays on top for a long time, then drops like a rock. This take is literally false with everything he's done this year. God's Plan, Nice for What, Look Alive, Yes Indeed, Nonstop, have all had longevity. His album spent 5 weeks at #1 and hasn't left the top 5 since it's release. You're using ONE song to determine how everything he puts out performs?

This is in no way confirmation that he has anything coming soon. Calm down.

^With Don't Matter to Me being pushed to radio and all the songs he's already featured or appears in, he already has more than enough even if God's Plan and Nice for What end up dropping out next week.

That isn't really accurate but if it seems like it is, it's because he's always juggling at least 3 singles at any given time on the Hot 100. Not that it matters anyway but I'd prefer having a mixed bag of 11 top tens in a year than say 2 insanely huge ones spread out over months(eg Ed Sheeran)

Exactly. To be honest, I've been surprised with all this gasps and shock about In My Feelings dipping out hard like we don't all see it's radio updates everyday and to be honest, who else in the entire music industry has had a year like him? He's been on the radio ALL YEAR LONG. I'm a huge fan and even I'm tired of hearing him on the radio. Not to talk of the charts. Plus the insane streaming figures he'll have pulled in by the end of the year. I've also said it before that Drake isn't like an Ed Sheeran that drags out an album era. He drops literally every year. He'll have a new batch of records ready to go next year and if I'm honest, I don't know that these artists y'all hail as having longevity on the charts would have as much longevity as Drake does if they dropped as frequently as he did.

Speaking of Drake and top tens, he has a feature on Lil Baby and Gunnas project dropping tonight. These two artists do really well on Apple Music on their own so it'll be interesting to see if there's top ten potential.
Plus Drake's verse comes first and has been getting rave reviews on viral tweets across twitter. Again, before the No Stylist comparisons come in, lil baby & gunna > French Montana so we'll see

I'm just shocked that In My Feelings is dropping so hard cuz it was so huge during it's peak, all summer long people were singing a long to it and it was everywhere. Plus God's Plan spent 26 fucking weeks in the Top 10, so going from that to 13 weeks is strange.

When it's all said and done, God's Plan, Nice for What, In My Feelings, I'm Upset, Nonstop, Don't Matter to Me, Look Alive, Yes Indeed and Walk It Talk It will end up on HitsDD's list of the most streamed songs of the year. That's crazy. I know I'd prefer having that number of songs do well than having just one or two really huge songs perform good as well.

Lil Baby and Gunna are pretty big right now. “Drip Too Hard” was huge. Their album will definitely do 100K+ and have somewhat of an album bomb.

God's Plan and all the other hits he scored before In My Feelings weren't. It's also dropping hard for a lot of other reasons. Drake has dominated radio and streaming platforms all year long. The fact that In My Feelings managed to be that huge was impressive, but even I can sense that fatigue is starting to come in after the year he's had.

Lol that is just me tho :). At least those 2 insane monster hits will be remembered. Those 11 top ten hits that fell quickly won't (minus Gods plan and Nice for what ).

Lol and to think this was basically the Beatles every year in the 60s. They had a scorpion EVERY year( even bigger since they had multiple songs in the top 5 WORLDWIDE hits chart ).

Drake fun fact #265: October is the first month since January that Drake hasn't spent at least a week at #1.

He just needs to make better choices when it comes to production and hooks. He'll be okay.

For an artist with the amount of charting songs he has, French Montana sure is faceless.

I don't really see the hype for Lil Baby. He just sounds like every other rapper out there.

It’s a trend and almost expected with songs that get record stream weeks early into their run fall down faster than usual. Hello, Harlem Shake, Look What You Made Me Do, This is America, God’s Plan/Nice for What to an extent, etc. There’s two groups though: - those that do impressive numbers overall and land good Year End placements despite dying quicker than usual (Hello, God’s Plan, Nice for What) - those that do rather weak numbers overall and have weak Year End placements (LWYMMD, This is America) IMF is clearly the former. It was Song of the Summer, spent 10 weeks #1,top 10 year-end placement so far, and will finish off 6-7x Platinum probably. It was still a huge hit. People need to stop acting as if it’s a latter hit.

I see a pattern. Most songs that stay a while at the top fade away fast because people get sick of them. Uptown Funk, Shape Of You, Perfect are exceptions to this. Didn't Lose Yourself fall off after 23 weeks because people were sick of it?

I'm impressed by the success of Shape Of You...90 WEEKS LATER it's still in the top 40 of Global Chart and WW iTunes Chart, 32 million SPS WW, 6,6B streams WW (Spotify+YouTube). The biggest song of the decade .

I don't really see the hype for Lil Baby. He just sounds like every other rapper out there. No he doesn’t. He is way different. The only other rappers he sounds like are Gunna and Young Thug.
