Question about album SPS totals in relation to successful singles: let's say a single goes 3x platinum through streaming. What does that translate to its parent album's SPS total? I know there is a formula. I think 1x Platinum for a song is 100,000 units for the album. I remember Bodak Yellow hit 5x Platinum around when IOP was released so the album immediately certified gold, so that's what I'm going off of. |

True. U.S. only tolerates Latin songs if they have at least 1 English verse on it. la Bamba says hi that was 30 years ago and was the lead single for a super popular movie of the same name do you really think that's gonna happen ever again, especially in the era of "2 Latin singers, one English singer" tracks |

ZEZE is good (bar the hook), but someone like Tyga or Swae Lee would have killed the beat. also, yes I am vile mentality (probably should have mentioned this earlier?), for anyone who actually cares. I "boardiced" to focus on irl stuff ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I never even heard of "Rockstar"'s Latin remix.
But yeah there is a trend guys, come on. It's pretty apparent. Regardless of whether the songs become hits or not, there is A LOT of new music with Latino vibes.

The latin remix of Rockstar was with Nicky Jam and Ozuna and released as the "official remix" for Rockstar.

I feel like MIA will go to #1 I'd think so too if it wasn't slowing down as much on YouTube. I cant imagine the views being as local as they would need to be for a #1 debut. But it looks like it's off to great start on Rhythmic so it may just be able to pull it off |

Not consecutive but cumulative total Do you mean the totals for all their songs, or actual weeks in the top 10 regardless of how many songs they had in it (meaning, regarding the Beatles' top 5 week, you would only count that once)? Cos I actually started counting the totals for the Beatles songs out of curiosity and then it hit me: wait, a lot of these songs were in the top 10 at the same time, this isn't the way to go. I'd have to scroll through the actual Billboard archives and, sigh, effort. |

This is the streaming era. The era of hop hop. But is it the era if the male Latin duo/ English speaking star remix? I took issue with the word era. I think that is too big of a word for 2-3 songs. Ya i love Simon, but this new Billboard chart formula messed him up. He has been way off for the past 3 weeks :(. I don't think we can completely rely on him anymore.
