Just saw that Billboard took away Beyoncé's credit on "Perfect" on all charts, even when the song first peaked at #1. Disappointing. Feels like they're robbing her of a credit they gave her themselves. She's still credited for the first 5 weeks in their books, it just on the site the way its coded, all weeks for a song have the same artist. Which is why S&M Remix for example, doesn't credit Britney on the site, but she is credited in the record books with that as a #1 to her name.

The "record books" exist depending on who writes them
Joel Whitburn for example has been known to list songs that changes credits mid-run as a footnote

Y'all fighting over a version that, save for it's first week, was never the most popular version of the song.
Even on it's first week, the advantage it had over the original was marginal.

I am sure he is right - I don't want to detract from Beyonce's song credits.
Was just saying the published data is what it is. Billboard.biz has the full chart archive as well and lists the songs the same way - probably more of a database maintenance thing rather than a vendetta against one female pop singer or another.
Anyway when they cite records from their "record book" they probably have a data source different than what they put on their website? I don't know. Otherwise they rely on memory or read old magazines like the rest of us.
Anyway - the "record book" that I am familiar with that actually looks like a book has Joel Whitburn's name on it and contains Billboard data which he has been licensed to use for almost 50 years.

Cardi B's new single ''Money'' officially drops October 26th !! with the hot 100 so weak atm, it will be interesting to see how the song debuts ! Kind of early don't you think? I mean, she just started pushing Ring like a month ago and I Like It/Girls Like You are still doing well. Hell the entire record is still doing numbers. I hope she doesn't over saturate herself like Nicki, it's gonna tarnish her brand in the long run. Didn't she say she wanted to make her "Money Moves" now because she knows how the game is played and she may be out of it soon. lol (meaning she knows she's not going to be the hottest thing for long)

Drake's Nonstop is now #1 on rhythmic and Urban. DMTM seems to be doing well on both formats also so I guess it'll be 5/5 #1s soon for the Scorpion singles Mia is gaining quickly on Rhythmic. I think it'll hit #1 way before Don't Matter to Me does.

So, for tomorrow. We've got: a new Khalid EP. A new Jessie Reyez EP. Future and Juice WRLD collab project. Lil Yatchy mixtape. Brent Faiyaz project. Sicko Mode video. Am I missing anything?

Sunflower is basically a more upbeat Psycho, also way less good. Post and Swae are at 0/2 for me, Spoil The Night is one of my least favorites from B&B.

Do we really need a Lil Yachty mixtape? Khalid's EP is hopefully gonna be good. Future and Juice WRLD collab mixtape better be good and not like Beastmode 2. Sicko Mode might be the next #1 with the video. Jessie Reyez EP better not be like her collab songs with Eminem (lowest points on Kamikaze) and idrk who Brent Faiyaz is (aside from Crew), but the songs better be good as his hook in Crew(Funny coincidence that Shy Glizzy released his mixtape before Brent Faiyaz released his.)

Mia is going down on Spotify. I bet it will fall next week. But I thought it was the next Despacito? Or maybe people can stop saying that everytime someone attempts to do something remotely related to latin culture.

Even if Girls Like You gets 20 weeks, sounds like no one here listens to the radio much anyway

I doubt we will see another Despacito this year and probably 2019 as well.

This song is a win for Drake and Bad Bunny anyway you look at it. A top 10 debut is a win, and with the song coming this late in the year, that's all they can ask for. Bad Bunny and Drake have both had amazing an amazing 2018. If the song never goes #1 in the US, it's okay, especially for Bad Bunny, because he still has a massive smash with an english-speaking artist, to his name.

Bad Bunny gets another US hit and Drake gets some more exposure in Latin America = win! There's plenty of room between that and "nü Despacito omfg!!!"

In yesterday's update IMF dropped below NFW, did it have awful callouts during it's initial run?

Sunflower is already in the top 50 on pop radio.
Why did I even think it would flop?

Sunflower is already in the top 50 on pop radio. Why did I even think it would flop? Radio deal + hype. Just wait until first callout scores come in to see how fast it will sink. Post's decision to turn it into a Swae Lee song doomed its chances for success.

Sunflower is already in the top 50 on pop radio. Why did I even think it would flop? It had a radio deal yesterday. I'm assuming it did because I heard it 3-4 times at the top of the hour on Kiis and Z100 (satellite radio)
