^Album cover is the best of the year, ngl It’s maybe the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen. 😂 and I thought his first cover was bad.

Artist: Erin Enderlin Album: Faulkner CountyLabel: Black Crow/Blaster Records Release date: November 1, 2019 She's a writer for Nashville royalty, the kind that appreciate the depth and emotional power of a good classic country song. Among those she's written for include the likes of Reba McEntire, Joey+Rory, Terri Clark, Randy Travis, Lee Ann Womack, Rhonda Vincent, Alan Jackson and Bill Anderson. She's also a storytelling artist- whose last project, Whiskeytown Crier, was a critically-acclaimed album filled with stories only further exemplify Enderlin’s fantastic ability to carve something out of the trials and tribulations of small-town America. This time around on her next album coming out November 1 called Faulkner County, Enderlin receives storytelling help from some friends, as she is joined on a few tracks by Dillon Carmichael (“Whatever Gets You Through The Night”), Vince Gill and Alison Krauss (“Sweet Emmylou”) and Ronnie Bowman on a gorgeous and faithful rendering of the Gene Watson’s “Use Me Again.” To know Erin a little bit is to know about Faulkner County. The proud Conway, Arkansas native might call Nashville home these days, but her Razorback roots run deep. In June, she took home three Arkansas Country Music Awards including Female Vocalist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. On the influence that her hometown had on her music, Enderlin says, "I think it was very influential. I brought a Conway Twitty record to show and tell when I was in kindergarten, and I am sure part of the reason I gravitated toward it because it was Conway. When you are little, you don’t know how to make different associations … plus there is a really strong music base in Arkansas: Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell. Growing up around all the other Arkansas writers, singer-songwriters, it definitely influenced the music I was making. Dan Clanton, for instance, an Arkansas singer-songwriter, he’s the one that showed me you don’t need the pick. Put the pick away and learn how to do the finger-pickin’ first. That’s been a huge influence on my playing, and my sound. I think there is a rich storytelling tradition in general in Arkansas. My grandparents were big into that, so I think that also really influenced me." Track listing: 1 I Can Be Your Whiskey 2 Whatever Gets You Through the Night 3 The Queen of Marina Del Rey 4 Tonight I Don't Give a Damn 5 Use Me Again 6 Broken 7 Hell Comin' Down 8 A Man with 18 Wheels 9 Hometown Jersey 10 Till It's Gone 11 These Boots (Full Band Version) 12 Old Flames (Can't Hold a Candle to You) 13 Sweet Emmylou

Artist: The SteelDrivers Album: Bad For YouLabel: Rounder Records Release date: Early Spring 2020 One of the most critically-acclaimed acoustic "bluegrass" groups on today's music scene, The SteelDrivers show no signs of slowing down as they announced a new tour called Bad For You that will coincide with timing and naming of their highly anticipated fifth release on Rounder Records in early Spring 2020. By now, the virtuosity of The SteelDrivers has so redefined conventional string instrumentation that one almost forgets that bluegrass roots sit at the heart of every sound the ensemble makes. The impetus, though, remains the music itself: a fluid string sound that combines chamber-like ambience, bluegrass construction and jazz phrasing. These world-class musicians have perfected the art of bringing a modern twist to a classic style of music. By now, it's clear to most music fans that original lead vocalist Chris Stapleton has left the band and gone on to super-stardom things in the country realm. He was replaced by former Mercury Records artist Gary Nichols on lead vocals and guitar. In 2017, Nichols left and now Kelvin Damrell has joined the band in the same role. Damrell first gained notoriety as the winner of a Chris Stapleton Cover Contest hosted online by Wide Open Country last year. It's clear he can carry that gritty torch and says that he has been a Stapleton and SteelDrivers fan for years. There’s a listen to the track that won him the Stapleton competition down below. The group emerged on the Americana and bluegrass scene over a decade ago and has amassed a legion of fans along the way, counting Bill Murray and Adele among them, while always keeping it about the music. ““We still have the same joy and enthusiasm that we did in the beginning. Even as the trajectory changes, the story continues to unfold,” admits SteelDrivers band member Tammy Rogers.

But Amazon does not have it for sale. Very odd for a major label.

Then I bought a bundle and a few days later it was available without the bundle. But yeah hopefully it will be a cd eventually.

Dixie Chicks - Gaslighter2020 Natalie Maines was in a episode of the Spiritualgasm podcast and revealed the new Dixie Chicks album title. She said it is finished it'll only be out in 2020. According to her, the album is ten times more personal and autobiographical than their last one, so it must be really good! The album talk ir towards the end, I think around the last 20 minutes, but the whole conversation is worth listening, I think.

Artist: Zac Brown Album: The Controversy Label: No Reserve/Southern Ground Release date: September 26, 2019 One week after releasing The Owl, a clear departure for the Zac Brown Band from their previous "more country music inspired" history, Zac Brown has dropped a surprise solo album that explores that musical direction even further. “I’ve always been influenced by all genres and never want to limit myself to a single type of music. I love my band and love creating music with them, but we all pursue our own thing in addition to what we put out together and support each other’s creative endeavors,” Brown said in a statement. “This album is an outlet for me to explore pop music, a broad category in its own right, without expectations.” The Controversy available on all digital platforms, is Brown’s first solo effort and includes collaborations with pop producers such as Max Martin, Benny Blanco and Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd.
