I played nice and took down my list, which was clearly on topic, just not something you wanted in something you considered your personal thread.
Then you decided to go the insult route with both myself and fhas. So I'm putting the list back in.

I've always found "We Found Love" mind-boggling
Yes, it had 10 weeks at #1, but it's digital sales (which were a huge component of the Hot 100 in 2010/2011) was only about 5 million. Seems really underwhelming for a song that's "Top 5 of the decade"

The biggest surprises to me so far:
- "Roar" was huge! It had about half a year in the top 20, so cool to see that it was actually a bigger hit than "Firework" and "ET" and "California Gurls" - "Can't Stop the Feeling" being just as big as "We Found Love" - "Someone Like You" being in the lower half, but in Billboard's inverse chart, "Hello" is going to be underrepresented while "Someone Like You" will be over-represented

Since 2010s is a strong decade, you can think of the top 20 as songs this decade that can make into real-point all-time top 100 of Billboard Hot 100!

Thanks for liking this thread. Now who's waiting for the top 10? So at this point I just want you guys to chill out, maybe sharing what you think the order of top 10 will be, having a little discussion on what surprised you so far and what do you think of this decade's top songs and their success.

OOoh this is interesting!
I'm always surprised how big of a song "Dark Horse" was, honestly seemed much smaller here in Australia. Same for Blurred Lines but I heard heaps about the controversy haha.
I think maybe the top will go:
1. Uptown Funk 2. Shape Of You 3. Party Rock Anthem
Not sure where to put anything else though haha

I've always found "We Found Love" mind-boggling Yes, it had 10 weeks at #1, but it's digital sales (which were a huge component of the Hot 100 in 2010/2011) was only about 5 million. Seems really underwhelming for a song that's "Top 5 of the decade" 1) What's "mind-boggling" exactly? 2) Why are you basing said songs success off of its sales anyway when that has nothing to do with said songs chart ranking? "We Found Love" spent 10 weeks at #1 and 23 weeks in the top 10 altogether, which is the same as "Low" for example hence why both songs are so close to eachother on the 'all time' lists. Moreover, "We Found Love" also spent 1 week more than "I Gotta Feeling" in the top 10 however the former had 4 more weeks at #1. Nonetheless, "We Found Love" registered radio airplay that was far bigger than both "Low" and "I Gotta Feeling" at their peaks which is what contributed to it's major longevity even though it sold +1.5-3M less in the U.S. The highest listener impression total that "We Found Love" registered was -160M which, at the time, was the biggest total among females since Rihanna's own "What's My Name" in 2010 and Alicia Keys' "No One" in 2007 overall. Why do you think "We Found Love" spent 12 weeks at #1 on the Hot 100 airplay? "We Found Love" has total WW sales of +12M, and was eons bigger across the world in its prime which is why it probably sold more internationally (hence why Rihanna is the biggest selling Digital artist ever) but it was still a beast in North America too and for all the CONSTANT hits that she was regurgitating between 2010-2013 it's a wonder it still sold so much. It will be Billboard's 'Female Song of the Decade' most likely for a reason.

I doubt you'll take any advice from me, but your actual song listings are difficult enough to read without slapping Billboard logos on top of them.
White text on a pale background isn't the most legible either.
We appear to agree on 9 of the top ten, as a set if not a sequence. And both of us put Radioactive much higher than BB's all-time chart did. I doubt if our actual sequence will match as closely, and I'm genuinely looking forward to what comes up on top under your algorithm.

I suspect your 25/52 multiplier effect will be the biggest factor in determining the top, and I'm not entirely clearly how "scientific" it is. So my predictions for your version of the top 10 is:
1. Uptown Funk! 2. Shape of You 3. Party Rock Anthem 4. Closer 5. Despacito 6. Blurred Lines 7. Somebody That I Used To Know 8. Rolling in the Deep 9. Radioactive 10. Dark Horse

Decade-end top 3 Surprised by Somebody that I Used to Know?
"Surprised" would not be the word I'd use. Disbelieving, perturbed, questioning, unaccepting, skeptical. But if it's consistent with your methodology, it is what it is.
