when getting the song list together I decided to choose 1 album track per album (for the most part) and when it came time to choose one from 'Something Worth Leaving Behind' this was an easy choice for me because honestly I don't remember many of the album tracks it has been so long since I listened to it and I remembered this one. I do think it is out a little early but not upset to see it go either, I expected it.
Up next at #38 is the song that spent the most time at #40 before being saved near the end of submissions...

Oh yeah, listening to "I Saw Your Light" again right now, I remember why I ranked it so highly!! Lee Ann's voice during these verses sounds so incredibly haunting and ethereal It's like being kissed by the wind or something.

I love love love the 'Something Worth Leaving Behind' album, I'd say it's my favorite of her MCA/Decca albums! "I Saw Your Light" wouldn't have been my first choice in album tracks but it's still great and another example of Gretchen Peters' great pen!

I’ll take that perfect ranking! This was pleasant and inoffensive yet a bit too much cheese for my liking.

It felt weak compared to the rest of her catalog. Love that this is the worst of LAW though, in many many other artist's discographies this would be in my top half.

"There Is A God" was released after Lee Ann's stellar 'Call Me Crazy' and no album was ever released after it peaked at #32. Honestly sad that they released this instead of a 3rd single from 'Call Me Crazy' because that album is easily her best album she has ever released (which is saying something since all of her albums are great). I loved this when it came out but I struggle to enjoy it now, Lee Ann sounds great but yeah it didn't age well, and honestly is the only song I'll say that about on this list.
Up next another of the album tracks falls. This song will see someone who has already lost a song in their Top 20 lose another!

"I'd Rather Have What We Had" is a tad dull. Not at all shocked to see it being one of the earlier eliminations here.

with this we lose the album track from the 'Some Things I Know' album. I love this song but it was hard to rank this one higher. I originally was going to choose "I Keep Forgetting" because that has always been my favorite album track from this album but I talked with others and was suggested to include this one instead so I went with it. I do like Lee Ann's voice with Joe Diffie, which I didn't think I would when it first came out.
Tonight I will reveal #36 and #10 in the Album Tracks reveals. Therefore I am almost done for tonight but for #36 someone will lose the first Top 5 loss of the rankdown!

Based on how strong this list was, I’m looking forward to discovering her albums.

at #36 we lose the duet with George Strait "Good News, Bad News". This song also won the CMA's Vocal Event of the Year at the 2005 CMA Awards. Lee Ann is also one of the songwriters on this song! The first few times I listened to this I felt it was too slow and boring but the more I've listened to it I've grown to love this song a lot and am sad that it is out in the bottom 5! Definitely deserved better.
Tomorrow night I will reveal the next 5 songs and a few more top 10's will fall! Also the first single from an album will be eliminated! Any guesses what could be next?

"Good News, Bad News" is solid, but it's a little dreary and slow. It handily beats the other truly awful duet they did for the otherwise flawless Call Me Crazy album though.

Yes! Another PR! And I agree with Nicky’s assessment: dreary and slow.

I am so disgusted with you people! "There is a God" was one of my favorite discoveries (even though it took a couple of listens for it to kick in with me)! Nice song for self-reflection imo.

with "Forever Everyday" going we have now lost the first album single of her career. "Forever Everyday" was the second and final single from the 'Something Worth Leaving Behind' album. I personally love this song and we used to listen to it with my nephew when he was younger cause his name is Michael lol. He loved it.
Up next, no one loses a Top 10 but 2 lose a Top 15! While there are no bottom 3 rankings for this next song!

"Forever Everyday" was an awful single choice. I like it, but it's definitely a rather peculiar song. Not surprised it flopped.
ETA: The title track to her last album deserved better. Best track on the record.
