Surprised at "Ice" making the top 10, that basically sounded like "Motivation" 2.0 and would get tanked because of that but I still love it. Nine songs in my top 15 made the top 10 so I'm not complaining here!
Ok but why did "Lay It On Me" flop so hard though? At least in the US, coming off "Motivation" you'd think the song would do better than flopping this hard.

Ok but why did "Lay It On Me" flop so hard though? At least in the US, coming off "Motivation" you'd think the song would do better than flopping this hard. IIRC, it was deemed too urban for pop radio yet too poppy for urban radio, so it basically didn't pick a lane (like "Motivation" being a straight urban bop) and suffered from trying to straddle the fence. I'm a big fan of "Lay It on Me," but her/her team was being messy that era with not being able to decide how to market her.  |

I love "Keep It Between Us" but why tf are it and "Lay It (Generically) on Me" above the ICONIC #1 hit "Dilemma" with the Mama Patti sample?
I'm mystified.

I thought 'Dilemma' would still make the top 10, I just don't like it that much, and I wasn't keen on the idea of it potentially beating out actual Kelly leads for a win.

So...Simply Deep, Ms. Kelly and Talk a Trash Game all got 2 entries, then "Motivation", "Motivation, Part 2", "Without Me" and "When Caucacity Takes Over".
This is a surprisingly balanced outcome.

I'm really glad "Without Me" made it this far. It's the best of the outside tracks she was featured on by a landslide imo (not counting WLTO because even tho that's not technically her song as a lead she still provided all the lead vocals lol).
