How tf is this out before 'All Out Of Love'?! “I’m lying alone with my head on the phone, thinking of you til it hurts” That’s why. The visual imagery of AOOL is so much better...

I think all of these will end up in the bottom 20 (& most will be bottom 10): Ray, Goodman and Brown - Special LadyRocky Burnette - Tired Of Toein' The Line Steve Forbert - Romeo's Tune Pure Prairie League - Let Me Love You Tonight Dirt Band - An American Dream Neil Sedaka and Dara Sedaka - Should've Never Let You Go Peaches and Herb - I Pledge My Love Mickey Gilley - Stand By Me Dionne Warwick - Deja Vu Eddie Rabbitt - Drivin' My Life Away Anne Murray - Broken Hearted Mewell, 7 out of 11 isn't a bad prediction

Okay, surely, "All Out of Love" has a high SD, right?
I did not think "Desire" would be that unpopular. It's basically a Bee Gees song ft. Andy Gibb. I mean, there was only one bottom ten, but still.

This should not have outlasted 'Lost In Love'. Utter cheesefest that this is shouldn't have even escaped the bottom 10. :sip2:

There's "All Out of Love". I established in, I believe, 1982 that I don't like Air Supply anyway, but "All Out of Love" particularly infuriates me. Could you imagine this song hitting #1 over either of the songs that kept it out of #1? Yeeeeesh.
I think I'm one song away from clearing my bottom ten. I expected my last bottom ten to either be my 98 or "Do That To Me One More Time", anyway.

Lost a few top 50s tonight. "All Out Of Love", "Better Love Next Time" and especially "Him" are jams. Rupert Homes had relationship issues. I hope Pina Colada can go the distance? That has such great lyrics.

Catching up! 100-81: A lot of my bottom 10s left. Yay! They were first listens or songs with little familiarity, except Still —but that’s a song I’ve always thought as too bland and vanilla that even my love for Lionel couldn’t help it escape a bottom rank. Biggest losses: 97. I Pledge my Love (80): I like their harmonies and vocals and the melody enough to have them escape bottom 20. 95. You Decorated my Life (47): My parents travelled to the US for the first time in 1981. My dad bought Kenny’s Greatest Hits cassette over there. That was my introduction to KR. I have a soft spot for many of those songs, and thus one was actually one of my favorites of that cassette. A song that I still like and remember fondly. 90. Yes I’m ready (64): I’ve always thought this was a nice cover. I liked hearing KC in this kind of song and Teri did a good job with vocals. Gave extra points for retro vibe 85. Lost in love (58): I know I’m in the minority, but overall I’m an AS fan. Maybe because in the 80s I was much more into this type of melody. Plus I wasn’t bilingual in the early 80s I like LiL although it’s not in my top 5 AS songs. I think the melody and vocals are pretty good regardless of whatever cheese they may be serving... 83. Desire (71): I had practically forgotten about this BG song. I agree that the trio deserved being credited here as they carry the song more than Andy. It should’ve escaped bottom 20 though... 82. All night long (62): This was actually a first listen that crippled into my 60s. I liked the classic rock vibe of this one, as it was one of a few songs in this style in this hot 100.
