"Heart Break" is more bland, light-pop fluff from Lady A. Their vocals are SO much better than their overall body of work.

I like "Heart Break" a lot, the best they've had since "Long Stretch of Love" imo.
I'm very happy that "Woman, Amen" lasted this long. I LOVE Dierks' current era and even though "Woman, Amen" isn't among my top favorites from The Mountain, it's still very solid and I'm glad a lot of people think the same!

How in the world did “Hide the Wine” make it so high? And how in the hell did it beat out Sara’s beautiful “All the Love You Left Me”???? Tragic. Shameful.

"Hide the Wine" is a strange sounding song to me, it just never clicked. I was super surprised that it got as high as it did on radio.

I find great joy in this song missing the top 20. My biggest unpopular opinion is that Carrie Underwood is overrated and annoying. She’s one artist I could never get into.

Oh right I forgot "Cry Pretty" was still in! I thought it would be much lower because of how people reacted to this song, I thought my #35 rank was going to be a generous rank but that's definitely not the case here. I like it a lot, especially the belting at the end.

I would, personally, sub out one of the Musgraves songs for 'Cry Pretty' but otherwise as a country outsider - so to speak - I think this top 20 feels pretty damn solid to me.

Still have no idea how Vinyl became a small hit in Italy... Isn't "Millionaire" a cover? Stapleton's better sticking to his own work. "Broken Halos" was better. But...Tennessee Whiskey is a cover... :o Also even though the melody for both songs are quite repetitive, I like Millionaire slightly better. It got slightly more varied arrangement. By the way, "She Ain't In It" is a GORGEOUS traditional country song. I hate Pardi's voice but the song is TOO good! Love it. Should have been top 20 for sure. Well you can bet if Josh Turner or George Strait sang this it would be flooded with #1s. It got the best instrumentals in the entire rankdown, especially the ending. At this point I want an Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, and Kacey Musgraves collab just so bigfan loses his s**t lol So does he like Mama's Broken Heart? :kii: And I have been waiting for Eric collabing with either one! It's sad that the song that Eric and Miranda are rumored to be writing for Jon Pardi's album is looking to be Jon ft. Miranda only instead. Also I don't think Kacey likes Eric that much judging from that Billboard interview. :'(

"Hide the Wine" is a strange sounding song to me, it just never clicked. I was super surprised that it got as high as it did on radio. Forgot to quote this, but there is a song left in this rankdown that doesn't sound radio friendly at all and yet it peaked at #4 on country radio... Will miss top 20: All The Love You Left Me
Babe Heart Break Hide The Wine Keeper Of The Flame
Marry Me One Number Away Tequila Vinyl Woman, Amen6/10 not bad I guess. How come both Luke Combs songs are above both Jon Pardi's songs, especially One Number Away . I hope its rank is one number away. In addition to the above 4 songs, I guess these 6 songs may miss top 10 as well: Burning Man Criminal Drowns The Whiskey Friends Don’t High Horse Shoot Me Straight

Ughhhh. Y’all can’t honestly tell me 4 Kacey songs rank amongst the best 20 of the year. I was hoping at least ONE would leave in this section.
At least Miranda took a hike as predicted.

And you know Mr. Floppity Floop sometimes doesn't
Exhibit A: His rank of "Country by the Grace of God" in the 2002 country rankdownI tend to judge people more harshly for what they hate than for what they love... Like, if you want to stan Chris Cagle's bro country hick anthem from before bro country was cool, you do you! It's when people start to put songs in their bottom 5 that everybody else loves that their taste becomes questionable, floppy, (and sometimes even trollish, in some peoples' cases... ) Wow. 😜 i know you ain’t talking about me now. At least my taste is consistent. One Kacey song did Escape my bottom 5. But Eric Church’s music just has absolutely no redeeming qualities. His voice is incredibly annoying, he has zero stage presence and his music is just not relatable to me. In addition to acting like an incredible prick in multiple situations, i have zero time for him. Miranda is a little bit more give-and-take. Loved her early stuff, New Strings and Kerosene, are still on my play list. This new album is just blah, especially when you have all the personal shit coming out, feels fake at times.

At #25, bigfan101 FINALLY loses another bottom 5! Of course, it would be his highest of all his bottom 5s... That's just kinda how this rankdown is going for him Just give him his space...cowboy.

I disagree with everything stated about Eric Church, but many of those points are mainly in the eye of the beholder, so to each their own. But, to say that Eric Church has zero stage presence is just wrong. I will say that he lacked some stage presence early on in his career (he had an annoying leg kick thing to keep time), but the man has put on a fantastic show each of his last three tours. I'm probably biased but I still think saying he has zero stage presence is a huge overreach.

We are gonna have to agree to disagree.
I used to work in the radio biz, and let’s just say there are some stories I could tell you.
To each their own, but Eric Church has zero redeeming qualities to my ears and eyes.
