"Turnin' Me On" was not a song I figured would do this badly. Blake has had WAY worse songs through the years, and this one seems to be merely a tad bland. It actually has a bit of a pulse and vigor to it that I figured might help it get another 30-40 positions higher in this rankdown! I mean, if boring-ass songs like "Came Here To Forget" were able to get to the 60s for him in the 2016 rankdown, there is not really any reason why this one should be so close to the bottom 5...

But I could totally understand those who find the lyrics to be obnoxious. Still, this one seems to only be this low because it suffered a similar fate to "Female". It just didn't get much love, so the slurry of ranks in the 80s and 90s with no top 20 votes to balance them out was enough to sink it to the bottom.

"Meant To Be" was destined to get a ton of last-place ranks because of its status as a huge hit that is well hated by people of almost all genres. However, being such a well-known hit meant it had to amass some followers along the way. So while this one was always on track to do horribly here, it was never actually even close to being a last-place contender!

Thank goodness. There is nothing good, country or interesting. Bebe Rexha is a marginal talent. The lyrics are repetitive as can be.

I also contend that this song makes the battle for more women in country music worst, because this song takes the place of better female songs on the radio. Radio may have looked at the song as a Florida Georgia Line song, but having that female voice is the perfect excuse to not play actual country women and be like "Oh see we play women on country radio. Look at Bebe Rexha, Julia Michaels, and Tori Kelly". This whole female pop singer collaborating with a male country singer for country radio is infuriating and I say this as a big fan of "Take Back Home Girl".

An overplayed, overexposed nothing of a song. I just hope Bebe Rexha never pursues a career in country music, because having her have 1 hit is more than enough for me.

Caught in the Country---I guess it's irony that when Thomas Rhett seems to have found his country sound, his father Rodney seems to have lost his. This was one of the last songs I've heard for this rankdown and I regretted it. Maybe it'll lead to a decent album, though?

Up Down---Not entirely against Bro-Country (Bottoms Up helped bring me back into the genre after an absence of multiple years), but this one just sounds obnoxious. FGL, I get (they've always sounded that way). But after The Way I Talk, I expected more out of Morgan. I guess he got his album, though.

Good Girl---I liked Dustin from the moment of Yep Yep, but this era from him has just been awful. Small Town Boy is just horrible and Good Girl is just cringy (it almost sounds like he's talking to his dog at times). Good voters.

Female---It sounded like a homeless person's answer to that Meredith Brooks song. But the lyrics were dreadful and that sound was clunky.

Coming Home---I was kinda rooting for the other pop/country collaboration to get outta here. But as others have said and I agree, the background sound is just awful. Maybe just spend a year or two being Mr. Nicole Kidman and work on your sound.

Turnin' Me On---I didn't hate this, but it felt like a 1970s song that got lifted for this. It was OK, but yeah, I'm fine where it landed.

I think I would be able to stand Garth Brooks just a bit more if he let his music on streaming services. He is probably a nice guy and I don't hold any ill will on him as a person. But his music is hard to obtain and badly produced.

As is no surprise to anybody, Garthy leaves us in the bottom 10 as well. He takes with him a slurry of higher ranks, however! George Strait Junkie and collinkottke both lose a top 20, while gonecountry comes super close! And multiple ranks in the 30s, 40s, and 60s gave this one a very solid and supportive foundation, to help it almost escape the bottom 10. However, the usual Garth tankers could not be ignored. This song got a whole array of bottom 5 votes!

Personally I think it is an improvement over a lot of his more modern solo work, but it is just kind of annoying. That verse is so abrasive, and then the chorus is literally the same thing a little bit higher. I can see how people would get sick of it very quickly.
