This song is so good. TBH I was a little bit disappointed in Desperate Man but he really hit the nail on the head for this one. This should be a big hit for him and hopefully Monsters can follow it up because that is an awesome song as well.

Lyric video.
This song rises so slow on airplay considering it is a radio-friendly song. Heck Raised On Country rises much faster than this despite its non-existent sales...

Saw him last night in Kansas City, and the reception for “Some of It” wasn’t great. Didn’t seem like a whole lot of people were into the song or knew the words. I like the song, but I don’t find myself playing it, or the entire album for that matter, very often. I still listen to Mr. Misunderstood from top to bottom monthly. This album though has been fairly boring. Of the 5 songs he played from this album (Some of It, Hippie Radio, Higher Wire, Desperate Man, and Drowning Man), Desperate Man was by far the most well received. My favorite was probably Higher Wire.
Overall, it was a great concert but not the best I’ve seen from him.

Aside from maybe Springsteen and Drink In My Hand, I can’t remember a Church tune that’s exsctly stormed up the charts.
Even Record Year and Talladega, two of his biggest hits took quite a bit to get through the 20-30’s. I’m fully expecting this one to take a similar path.

I'm not surprised this one is moving a little slowly because it sounds like a weak re-tread of all his other slower singles he's put out over the last few album cycles and the chart climate right now has caused a lot of even bigger stars to experience slowed climbs up the charts. This will probably be a top 10 hit in the end for him because it's inoffensive and won't run into the kind of troubles that kept songs like "Desperate Man," "Mr. Misunderstood," or "Cold One" from climbing higher, but I think this one will be closer to a "Kill a Word" or "Like Jesus Does" in terms of impact than a "Talladega" or "Record Year" in the end.

After a few months to simmer on the new album, I have to say that this era is very underwhelming. He’s gone too 70s classic rock era sounding IMO, and I miss his songs that implemented enough country pop sound in them. “Heart Like A Wheel” and “Jukebox And A Bar” are both amazing songs, but neither sounds like a huge radio hit. I know Eric has no reason to care about catering to radio at this point, but even as a fan, I’ve felt this most recent album wasn’t what I was hoping for.

I love the album, but it definitely could have used a couple bigger songs. It’s quite toned down. With that said it’s still probably my 4th favorite record of his.

Can't say I agree there. I've seen him 4 times, the fans go nuts for the non-hits (Sinners, Over When Its Over, Mistress Named Music, Jack Daniels, Carolina, Holding My Own, Those I've Loved, Lightning, just to name a few) as much, if not MORE than his radio hits. Of the 35-40 songs he plays nightly, he plays *maybe* 15 radio songs. The entire arena at a Church show is going to sing every word to Over When It's Over.

It's actually funny some of you mentioned this song being rather slow moving. "Some of It" actually has a bullet of over 200 tonight on the Mediabase chart and moved up to #34 for the week. Out of all the songs in the 30s and 40s, "Some of It" is one of the handful of songs I think can go very far and be a pretty big hit.

The two shows I saw here he did "Pledge Allegiance To The Hag" both nights and it got the loudest reception and sing along both nights.

This is much better as a single than “Desperate Man.” Beautiful song.

This seems to be speeding up a few weeks ago with solid spin and audience gains per day, acting more like a second single from him. But my main question is why is he co-hosting Country Countdown USA next week? Seems a weird timing to do so considering that co-hosting usually means the radio single is peaking.

It’s because Riley Green will be maxed next week and Lon usually doesn’t have artists with debut singles co-hosting CCUSA. So they needed another guest.

Its early but when’s the last time he had a single start out this well? Not including Desperate Man since that had the iHeart deal.

“Some Of It” springs into the Top 20 this week on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart. Moving from #23 to #19.

Do you really think because one station added "The Snake" that he has a new single? When his current single is blazing up the charts (in terms of his singles)?

Saw him in Cleveland last night. There are no words.
The gap between him and the next best entertainer in this genre is from California to Georgia.
Great reaction to this song, Monsters (has to be the next single), Higher Wire, Hangin Around. 35 in total. Performed a new unrecorded song (“Come On Cleveland”) and “Life’s Been Good by Ohio native Joe Walsh to boot.

He’s got the best selling tour in the world right now. Outselling Timberlake, Elton John, Billy Joel etc etc (and his tickets cost less)
Is this the year he wins EOTY?? You’d freaking hope so.

This song has great callout (maybe the Eric Church song that has the greatest callout ever?). Second highest net positive and okayish heavy burn rate. There is a high chance that this will peak after God's Country which is the biggest country hit released this year at the moment though...Please don't miss #1.

First artist to play at Nissan Stadium solo without opener. And the music video for this song will premiere during the Nashville concert.

I’m loving the story he’s telling with this era’s music videos I just wish we didn’t have to wait this long
