For me, Rockstar is a given after Rain On Me debuts at #1 (at least I hope). Letโs get a little more wild with Watermelon Sugar, Before You Go, Sunday Best, Blueberry Faygo, and Roses.

As for Future Number 1s that are already on the charts right now, here are my thoughts...
In a time of unprecedented challenge, I think people are mostly looking to music for an escape, and with Summer that relationship will only increase. This sets the stage for phenomenal tracks like Harry Styles' Adore You, Dua Lipa's Don't Start Now and Roddy Rich's High Fashion to all see a frame or two at the top. But I also say watch out for Surfaces!! They are a great group and their positive music seems tailor-made for a Summer like this one. Sunday Best has already proven that to be fact.
I also wouldn't count Katy Perry out yet. I don't see it for Daisies, but if she has another track that is of the lighter persuasion coming up, that could go Number 1 as well. Daisies and Never Really Over have fulfilled their intent and put Katy back on that ascendant pathway, post Witness era.
I really think Lady Gaga could have another chart topper on Chromatica, even after Rain On Me blasts its way in.
Lastly, IF Rihanna decides to join the party, I've no doubt that she could quickly add to her historic run of chart toppers. Great summer for anyone like Rihanna or Bruno Mars to come back in the game.

Great summer for anyone like Rihanna or Bruno Mars to come back in the game. while I do think it's a bit too late for songs like Adore You, High Fashion or Don't Start Now (sadly) to hit #1 i 100% agree with the sentiment that you said here and it probably helps the respective follow-ups to those songs (Watermelon Sugar, Rockstar & Break My Heart) also i fully agree, now would be a very good time for rihanna or bruno mars to make a big return to the charts, both would easily get tons of hype for basically anything they released as a lead artist ESPECIALLY Rihanna |
