LOL - I was there when Toni Braxton took that title and it felt unreal. Amazing that songs such as Trap Queen or Counting Stars have tied it.

Girls Like You could actually take it if it lasts until February...
There's 3 weeks til the SuperBowl, and if it managed to stay top 10 those 3 weeks, then it's a lock with the SuperBowl boost after. It could possibly still take the record if it falls out for 1 week, and the SuperBowl gives it a 2 week boost.

Maroon 5 & Cardi B's 'Girls Like You' Ties Ed Sheeran's 'Shape of You' for Most Weeks Spent in Hot 100's Top 10 2/11/2019 by Gary Trust
The songs have each logged 33 weeks in the top tier.
Aided by the band's Super Bowl LIII halftime show performance Feb. 3, Maroon 5 ties a longevity record on the Billboard Hot 100 (dated Feb. 16). The group holds at No. 10 on the Hot 100 with its former seven-week No. 1 "Girls Like You," featuring Cardi B, logging a 33rd week in the top 10. The song matches Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" for the longest top 10 run in the chart's 60-year history. Sheeran's smash led the list for 12 weeks in 2017.
Here's an updated look at the songs that have spent the most time in the Hot 100's top 10, dating to the chart's Aug. 4, 1958, inception: Most weeks in Hot 100's top 10 33, "Girls Like You," Maroon 5 feat. Cardi B, 2018-19 33, "Shape of You," Ed Sheeran, 2017 32, "Closer," The Chainsmokers feat. Halsey, 2016-17 32, "How Do I Live," LeAnn Rimes, 1997-98 31, "Uptown Funk!," Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars, 2014-15 30, "Smooth," Santana feat. Rob Thomas, 1999-2000
The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming, radio airplay and digital sales data and, along with all charts, will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (Feb. 12). As previously reported, Ariana Grande rules the list for a third week with "7 Rings."
"Girls" charges 22-6 on the Digital Song Sales chart, up 123 percent to 19,000 downloads sold in the week ending Feb. 7, according to Nielsen Music. It also pushes 24-21 on Streaming Songs with a 13 percent boost to 20.5 million U.S. streams in the same tracking week. It keeps at No. 6 on Radio Songs (77.8 million audience impressions, down 2 percent, in the week ending Feb. 10), which it led for 16 weeks.
Maroon 5 had previously spent a high of 21 weeks in the top 10 with three hits: "Sugar" (2015), "One More Night" (2012-13) and "Moves Like Jagger," featuring Christina Aguilera (2011).

I mean I’m definitely not mad about it. In the words of Issa raye “I’m rooting for everybody black” but I didn’t expect this kind of longevity from Travis Scott

For over 3 decades, 25 weeks was the record for most weeks in the top 10, now it seems like that is being passed a lot.
27 weeks now for 'Happier'

Without Me seems like it'll get up there shortly. It's like it just won't leave the Top 5 for some reason.
Also, I'm not very thrilled with these mega-long Top 10 stays being more frequent right now. It makes the Top 10 feel so... stale.

In the future songs will be able to stay in the top 10 for even longer. They will eventually put a recurrent rule to the top 10.
