The 5th album by Monica (6th counting the scrapped All Eyez on Me), released in March 2010. It featured a more classic R&B approach after the criticism she received for chasing trends with "Everytime Tha Beat Drops."
The album sold over 500,000 copies in the US and was certified Gold by the RIAA and was considered a commercial comeback. It garnered positive critical reception and spawned the #1 R&B hit "Everything to Me" and the #2 R&B hit "Love All Over Me." A third single "Here I Am" was released as a remix with Trey Songz, but it failed to make much of an impact depsite being a beautiful song (especially the album version).
This was a very solid album all around. It was her comeback album after "The Makings of Me". It felt like classic Monica right here. I think this was her last great album. My fave tracks are Here I Am, Everything To Me, Superman, and Love All Over Me.
I thought this was her best album at the time. Not sure if I still do, but it's definitely one of her best. The singles are still among my favorite singles by her. It's a shame the label only pushed two.
