How many songs during the Streaming Era didn't go #1 in any metrics? I seem to remember Bodak Yellow doing so.

Any idea how many points Work's last week had? Quite low chart positions. 38,200 raw points... fourth weakest week for a #1 in 2016 (Cheap Thrills' 3rd and 4th week and Closer's 1st were weaker).

11 songs since 2013? LORD! I presume at this point in the streaming era a song charting atop all metrics simultaneously will become even more rare given the big discrepancy between sales and streaming audiences. The next artist to do so may be Adele, perhaps, or Rihanna, Ed Sheeran etc. or another unknown but breakthrough act ala. The Chainsmokers.

fhasYou may or may not have the information for this but do you now how many acts and how many songs simultaneously charted atop both the ‘Hot 100 Singles Sales’ and ‘Hot 100 Airplay’ charts between 2000-2005? Of course, following on from 2002, it was primarily the Airplay charts with that had precedence over the Hot 100 with Physical Sales being virtually non-existent but it’d be interesting to know otherwise. For example, Janet Jackson’s “All For You” topped the Sales chart, Airplay chart and Hot 100 in 2001. Later that year, Nickelback topped the Sales chart and Hot 100 but not the Airplay charts. (I can’t remember who blocked them; I could be wrong). I wonder which artists still had the power to be able to sell +5K Physical CD’s in a dead market whilst being spammed across Pop, Urban and Rhythmic Radio.

All For You never topped both charts simultaneously (4 weeks at #1 on the sales chart and 2 weeks on radio). How You Remind Me was blocked by U Got It Bad on the radio chart

just ignore "it". It is currently saying that I'm twisting it's words 😂😂wbk that it needs help “It”? The funny thing is that what clg posted is sound advice for anyone interacting with clg. You know, minus the "it" nonsense since people are not objects. Don't really want to Just sayin' dig back far enough you could probably find an example or two Country scoring big on this chart comes in cycles. Go back into the 70s and early 80s for example, country songs routinely hit #1, for example This may very well be an "all time record" but I have my doubts If you're not going to search for the facts to back up your "but ackshually" claims, then don't make them. Besides, iHype was clearly referring to the radio chart, not the Hot 100, which didn't even exist until the mid 80s and didn't include country at all until December 1998. So you're actually only referring to a time period barely 20 years long. It's perfectly reasonable to suspect that such an ocurrance of 5 country songs in the top 20 has indeed never happened before.

The one week that "Sicko Mode" hit #1 it wasn't #1 in any metric. I am shocked and offended, I demand that Billboard redo that week's chart. Give the #1 to a deserving song, maybe "Bohemian Rhapsody".

What kind of chat derailment is going on here?
Also not people trying to downplay the success of songs that are actual hits or are almost guaranteed too be travelling that route

15. (=) DAN + SHAY - Tequila (63.206) (+0.048) 16. (=) SCOTTY MCCREERY - This Is It (60.625) (-0.335) 17. (+1) LUKE COMBS - Beautiful Crazy (58.558) (+0.737) 18. (-1) JASON ALDEAN - Girl Like You (58.328) (-0.107) 19. (=) LUKE BRYAN - What Makes You Country (56.279) (+0.916) There's 5 Country hits currently top 20 on Overall Radio. Pretty sure that's never happened before this past year? I really think Country might become the dominant radio format next decade, as the youth further switch towards streaming. Super bold prediction. Keep in mind yes there’s 5 country songs but they are positions 15-19.

I’m wondering when is the last time a country song hit #1 on both Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs in the same week? I know ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ didn’t hit #1 on both charts in the same week.

I know ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ didn’t hit #1 on both charts in the same week. On the old HCS chart that was based only on airplay, Lonestar was #1 on the Hot 100 with “Amazed” and #1 on the airplay HCS with their follow up single “Smile”. I know that wasn’t what you were asking but that was the closest thing I could think of.

I really think Country might become the dominant radio format next decade, as the youth further switch towards streaming. Super bold prediction. Keep in mind yes there’s 5 country songs but they are positions 15-19. At this point country only lags behind Top 40 in terms of impressions. It won't be the dominant format anytime soon, but it does look like we'll see more country songs in the top 20-25 of overall airplay. I’m wondering when is the last time a country song hit #1 on both Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs in the same week? I know ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ didn’t hit #1 on both charts in the same week. jdanton2 answered, but it is interesting how few country crossover songs have actually hit #1 on the Hot 100. "Amazed" was mentioned, but several huge ones peaked at #2 (How Do I Live, You're Still the One, Breathe, You Belong With Me, Need You Now). Obviously one main issue is they tend to crossover after they've been a hit with country audiences.
