Better, but certainly not something I wanted out in the bottom 20.

Better couple of reveals this time. Both good songs, but they did not have a prayer in a rankdown this stacked.

I finally lose a bottom 10 and go back around and lose a top 10.
Hoping the last three reveals for the day are a lot less painful...

Both good songs, but they did not have a prayer in a rankdown this stacked. My #100 shouldn't have "had a prayer" either and yet it's STILL IN THE GAME ABBAs great & all but their song in this is far from their best & surprised it’s still hanging around "The Winner Takes It All" finished #2 in the ABBA Gold rankdown so clearly this isn't a popular opinion

"Conga" is overhated. Yes, I know it made the top ten in its respective year-end rankdown, but still. That's a lot of really low ranks. I wish I had done this rankdown.

Ah almost a perfect rank! Prince has better songs here. He does but all of them were better than the majority of this field anyway so :/ Like, Christ, "What's Love Got to Do with It" is still in? And "Off The Wall" left before fucking "Bad"? What are you people doing?

It can stay. Would have most likely been in my top 20. So would The Postman Song Well yes, that one would have likely been in my top 5, but it's a 90s song.

And "Off The Wall" left before f**king "Bad"? What are you people doing? I'll agree with the bolded part. You got to cull the chaff before you get to the wheat. Both Prince and MJ have way better songs to come.

What the FUC.K was this set of reveals. My 2 and possible favorite discovery both out already and then three other songs in my Top 60 left.
Please get something in my Bottom 10 out, quickly.

90. Off The Wall (94): I had ranked this at #15 in the MJ RD, and #37 in the 1980 RD, so it was a clear candidate to be in my bottom 10 in this RD. I gave it another chance, but nope, it couldn't skip my bottom 10. Now, I do agree with those saying this is not MJ's worst... as I have another MJ song that I ranked lower than this one. #shameless. 89. Who Can It Be Now? (85): This is the area where things started to get complicated. I like this song a lot, especially the music (sax, drums!) and melody. In this strong group of song, it couldn't make it higher. I mean, I only ranked this as #25 in 1982. I would've ranked Overkill and Down Under higher, though... 88. Brass In Pocket (96): I love several songs by Pretenders, but I've never been a big fan of this one. It's a competent song, but I don't think the chorus or even musicality is that strong. Back on the Chain Gang, on the other hand, would've likely made my top half. 87. 9 To 5 (88): This is cute fun song, but a clear bottom 15 for me. 86. (I Just) Died In Your Arms (73): Hard to rank this one, too. It fluctuated in the 65-85 zone. A song that IMO has gotten even better with time. Hey, this was a surprisingly GREAT reveal for me!! Hope the lucky strike continues with the next one.... 85. Upside Down (60): Awww... I have a lot of respect for this classic. Love that funky and disco vibe with those great lead and background vocals. It was my #10 in the 1980 RD and I ended up ranking it higher than a couple other songs that performed better in that RD. I assumed it was gonna leave early, but I hoped it could stay a bit longer 84. The Look (79): A good song, but this is a fair position for it. 83. Conga (82): Sorry, but just like Hurts So Good, as I tried to be more objective and leave some personal memories behind, this ended up significantly affected. It was my #8 in the 1985 RD, but in this decade RD it ended up below 4 songs that were outside my top 10 in the 1985 RD. It's a great song, one of the most fun of the 80s, but I felt there were many other better songs. 82. U Got The Look (47): WTF?!!!! Is this really Prince's first song to go? When I did this RD I was very careful in listening to Prince's song better as I had ranked many of his songs outside the top 10 in several 80s RDs. For example, I ranked UGTL at #19. I rediscovered its intricate music with those lovely percussion and guitar sounds and strong melody plus of course Sheena's great complementarity to Prince. So I ended ranking this higher in this RD than 3 songs that I had ranked higher in the 87 RD. I'm very surprised that this is the first to go. Prince may have more popular songs, but several of his remaining songs are not as interesting as this one IMO. 81. Sowing the Seeds of Love (79): Quite close to a P-P-P-P!! Very dynamic and complex song, but at some points it may get a bit too chaotic... A great song nonetheless. Overall another good reveal despite two top 60 losses. I hope one or two of my remaining bottom 5s appear in the next reveal!
