And there you have it! In one of the most anticlimactic finishes of all time, our top 2 is the exact same top 2 as we got in Reba's singles rankdown!!! It's simply incredible that out of her entire career, these were the two songs we put at the top, and they're both from the same album. The other singles didn't stand a chance!! Lol
Believe it or not, "Is There Life Out There" is just now becoming a multi-rankdown winner!! It feels like it should have gotten there long ago, but it previously won Reba's singles rankdown, finished at #2 in the 1992 rankdown, and finished at #19 in the first BotB rankdown (I think people were getting tired of it doing so well "all the time"... Lol) So now that it has won its album rankdown, this is its second victory!
Unfortunately, "Georgia" plays second fiddle once again.
Thank you to everybody who participated and followed along!!! I am loving digging into these '90s albums with y'all!

Some TIBIT of info about the song, “For My Broken Heart” Did you know the song was originally recorded as a duet with Clint Black BEFORE the plane crash. And that version was scrapped after the crash due to the more personal and emotional impact of the song it would have? I'm so glad that it got changed. Not glad for the reason, of course, but I don't think it would be anywhere near as impactful as it is as a duet. I'm surprised that he was never considered for another duet, especially since the next album had "The Heart Won't Lie" (which was originally supposed to be with Kenny Rogers, but of course ended up being with Vince Gill).

Thanks for hosting again, bboat11! Any excuse to listen to 90s Reba is great with me! Would it be possible to ask for a hint for the next album in the series? Semi-self isolating, so any purpose to listen to Reba would be appreciated, haha!

I just had to rewatch the video for “Is There Life Out There” and I’ll be damned if it still doesn’t make me tear up! This was the outcome I was hoping for but I would’ve been happy either way. I’m so looking forward to some more 90s Reba so thanks for taking us along for the ride bboat11 !

It's Your Call!!! {Spoiler 2:} Unless of course y'all would rather take a detour to rank her album tracks from the modern wave of albums that we finished a few weeks ago...

I was pretty sure we were, but it's only 2 albums into the 90s series, so I wasn't quite ready to declare it a pattern yet, haha. Edit: Can we have both? I'll have a lot of time on my hands over the next few weeks, haha.

Predictable but expected winner. It would've been pretty wild if it had won her entire 100-song singles rankdown and not the album. All the singles from this album were indeed some of the best of her entire career and deserved to exert single bias in this rankdown. I wish my #1 hadn't been out before the title track though, but otherwise I'm not surprised or upset by any of the results. Also very happy to see the immaculate "Bobby" was the rightful top album cut from this record!

My last place ranking on this album didn't mean much. I even said as much when I submitted my list, because this is easily one of her strongest albums to date, with no filler in sight.

Yay my top 5 was the top 5! Great winner! I’m also quite relieved I didn’t rank this last cause I never know about singles and fan favorites

i slept clear through this whole thing lol
7. "He's In Dallas": Perfect ranking yay! Lol. Incredible song on an incredible album. 6. "If I Had Only Known" ...Well indulge gave an explanation for his low ranking, but I'm still waiting on one from the rest of y'all. You better have a damn good reason for tanking this; this is far too powerful a song for that ludicrous behavior. Personal tidbit: when my aunt passed in 2017, this (and the Sing It Now album) were the only pieces of music I listened to for a good two or three months, and they, along with leaning on faith, were a powerful source of comfort and healing for me. I'm beyond upset this song got the treatment it did, but I'm also glad it did put up a fight and get as far as it did. This one here is easily in the Top 5 of my favorite songs of all time by any artist in any genre. 5. "Bobby": Again, I'd have much rather seen IFHOK be the top album track but this is also a great song so I'm ok with this one making the Top 5, as evidenced by my #4. 4. "The Greatest Man I Never Knew": Same song and dance: incredible song on an album full of them. 3. "For My Broken Heart": Perfect ranking yay! This is another one of the songs that never fails to choke me up when I listen to it. Especially the album version; that opening instrumental is just divine! 2. "TNTLWOIG": Yeah I put this icon at #8. What about it? It's a great song obviously but imo it just doesn't hold up in the context of the album, if that makes sense. Wbk this was #2 1. "Is There Life Out There": This is easily (besides my #1 song here) my favorite Reba song. Everything about it is iconic and tbh, as I weigh whether or not to just drop out of college after this semester and try again a couple years in the future, I've been spinning this one a lot. One of Reba's absolute best.
What an incredible album!!! I mean duh it's Reba, but this is something else entirely. This album is part of the essentials of her career and I'm glad I got to revisit it! Thanks for hosting bboat11 and I'm ready for your call! You know, because it's your call...

Oh how appropriate this is due on my birthday! This is one of the few albums from Reba's '90s era that I find myself not revisiting much, but there are some great album tracks to be found. Nonetheless, that album cover has always been such a standout!

Just like her last album, the singles from the project are all absolute CLASSICS. I'm not too familiar with the album cuts on this album though outside of "He Wants to Get Married," so I'm looking forward to diving into this one.

Or at the very least be a top 3 contender. But we'll see what happens. (Watch it be one of the two songs from this album to not even make the album tracks rd...)

That would annoy me so much, if it didn't make it. Nothing wrong with the singles from this album (and I get why all three were released), but this definitely should have been sent out there with them. "One Last Good Hand" really should be a classic 90's country song.

Reba's, by a mile!!!![/quote] I disagree. First of all I never liked the song itself. Long before Reba covered it the song on patty’s album was my least fav and when Reba did it I hated it even more. The key of that song doesn’t do Reba’s vocals justice. Patty’s is at least memorable. But I still hate the melody. Also Tony Brown produced both versions.

After I do the Brothers Osborne extras and the two Patty Loveless albums, I'm gonna focus on Reba tonight, and knock out both this album and the modern album tracks! Also can I say how clever it was to have Faith and Reba all due on alternate Fridays (lol i'm dumb...SATURDAYS) in April? It Matters to Me on the 4th, this album on the 11th, Faith's extras on the 18th and the modern Reba album tracks to close out the month on the 25th?

So I am SHAKING right now! Reba is doing this thing today on her Instagram stories where people can play personal games of "Reba Bingo" and check off Reba-centric things they've done. If you tagged her (and you had at least one bingo) she'd share it to her story! I figured eh, she's not gonna see it but let's try it. I didn't get a bingo but came two spots away from having a double bingo...however, SHE STILL SAW MY STORY!!!!! REBA SAW MY INSTAGRAM STORY I'M SCREAMING!!!!
Anyways carry on! Just wanted to share that lol
